You will see some of the most beautiful places in the world all in one day! We will meet at 8am and head to the gorgeous red rocks of Sedona. Not only is Sedona absolutely stunning, it is thought to have healing powers from the magnetic vortices located there. We will visit the site of an actual vortex, Chapel of the Holy Cross overlooking Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock. Then we' will travel on one of the most scenic highways in America, 89A. We will stop a a Native American Crafts Market run by local Native Americans, and then we will head out to view one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon! We will arrive at the Grand Canyon in the afternoon to take in this magnificent and breathtaking sight! We will *not* see the sunset at the Grand Canyon, but on our drive back to Phoenix you will enjoy the best sunset in the world, an Arizona sunset!

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Chapel of the Holy Cross
We will visit Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a church built right into the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. On the sides and in the front, Sedona sprawls out majestically, a sweeping landscape of red rocks, trees, and nestled houses. Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte are visible to the south, and Cathedral Rock to the west. We will grab a bite to eat, and then we will head to the Grand Canyon! Driving time from Phoenix to Sedona is 2 hours.
2. Oak Creek Canyon
Oak Creek Canyon is famous the world around for its spectacular scenery. We will stop at Oak Creek Canyon Vista. Here you can get a bird's eye view of what awaits you down the road and, at the same time, shop for Native American jewelry and other craft items from the local Native American artists who set up displays along the pathways.
3. Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Viewpoints include Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station and architect Mary Colter’s Lookout Studio and her Desert View Watchtower. Lipan Point, with wide views of the canyon and Colorado River, is a popular, especially at sunrise and sunset. Driving time from Sedona to the Grand Canyon is 2.5 hours. Driving time from the Grand Canyon back to Phoenix is 3.5 hours. We will have two 15 minute bathroom breaks on the way to the Grand Canyon and two 15 minute bathroom breaks on the way back to Phoenix for a total time of 60 minutes for the 4 breaks.

I picked this tour over all the others because there were two stops, including Sedona, before heading to the Grand Canyon. Also, it was a full 12 hours, and we all met up at one central location at 8 AM (We didn’t have to ride around making numerous stops). And, as promised in the description, there was a trunk full of water and snacks for the trip.
Naala, our tour guide was incredible. She explained all about the plants and views along the sides of the road throughout the trip and was extremely knowledgeable about all the towns along the way, including the Grand Canyon. She also made the right amount of stops along the way for our viewing pleasure, including animal life, rest stops, and a great place for lunch, where we were able to order ahead of time to have it ready upon our arrival, too.
Her SUV was very comfortable for the long day and she was an amazing driver. I was traveling alone, but Naala and the other tourists made me feel so comfortable that it will definitely be one of my most memorable tours in my lifetime.

This was such a great tour. All the views included were breathtaking! Nice amount of time at each place included. Well taken care of the entire time with water, snacks and plenty of bathroom breaks. Naala was so knowledgeable about each location and Arizona in general.

We had a fabulous tour guide, Naala and our day trip was packed with site seeing, facts about the area, and suggestions on where to take pics etc. Even the lunch stop was amazing. She was very attentive and knowledgeable and we’re so thankful we chose this tour. We wanted to see the Chapel of the Holy Cross and she was able to drive us there and even pointed out landmarks and best views for pictures etc. we would definitely recommend this tour and plan to take her other tour next time. She has been the absolute best tour guide we have ever encountered!! She was responsive to answer additional questions through email as well.

From the moment I got into Naala's big SUV, I sensed positive vibes. She conducted the tour with meticulous attention to the details. I was the only one on the tour that day and she still decided to take me to Sedona, Grand Canyon and back. That tells me about Naala, how sincere, honest and beautiful soul she is. The tour went very well, she has all the arrangements of snacks and water in her SUV. There were multiple toilet breaks all along the tour. She took me first in Sedona and she gave lots of historical information about the place. Sedona was really gorgeous and beautiful. From there we went to a small town named "Williams" where we had our lunch break and then we headed to "Grand Canyon". There were multiple spotting of Elks on our way back. The road towards the canyon from Sedona is really beautiful as well. And the canyon itself is a place where someone can visit multiple times. The mother Earth in her full splendor and I really loved it. And I will be back next time I am in Phoenix.

Was a great experience for our family and William took great care of us all! Was nice to not have to plan where to stop & just enjoy the ride & all the interesting facts about the area. It was like visiting 3 different worlds with the changes in landscapes. This was way better than expected and William is top notch! All the sites we stopped to see where amazing.

We did a one-day guided tour with Across Arizona Tours and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had just driven from Oklahoma to Arizona and didn’t feel up to a 3.5 hour drive one way to see the Grand Canyon. But as our first trip to Arizona we didn’t feel we could miss the Grand Canyon….and we were certainly glad we didn’t.
Across Arizona Tours provided a wonderful guide who was personable and knowledgeable of the area. We made a quick tour through Sedona and we were thoroughly impressed with the area. Our next stop was at Cameron for lunch and Indian gifts. Next stop was the Grand Canyon and it was truly breathtaking! We made stops in at least 4 different areas to view the area.
Our only regret was that we didn’t allow a lot more time for the Grand Canyon and Sedona. We could easily spend several days in each area.
