Buffet was terrific, the tour guide Mako's knowledge was excellent and she was very friendly. Mako was easy to understand and led the group well. There was a lot of walking and we felt like we were a little rushed, would have been nice to be able to stop and taste the foods along the way. The experience of seeing the bamboo forest and the temples was excellent. We did have a good amount of time at Kinkakuji and the deer park. Would definitely recommend.

The culture of Kyoto was if most interest
The walk through the village to the bamboo forest and the forest itself
The shabu shabu lunch was memorable
And of course the amazing wooden temple in Nara
All made possible by our helpful and thoughtful guide Mari
All in all a relaxed and informative day with a well planned unhurried itinerary

Everything was organized and executed as planned and anticipated! Our tour guide Jewell was well versed and knowledgeable. She kept things moving along and was detailed and organized!! I’m sometimes skeptical of booking group excursions… but this did not disappoint.

An excellent way to spend the day seeing these two cities if you want to give them just one day of your Japan trip. The pacing of the day worked well between walking/sightseeing and bus travel.

A lot to take in from the bamboo forest, golden temple and Nara. Did to opt for the lunch so had more time to explore. Plenty of street food around.

Wonderful day out! We took the tour from Osaka to Kyoto (skip the lunch option as there is sooo much to see!). We did the "rickshaw" - carriage pulled by the most lovely guide! We went through the Bamboo gardens and we got lucky with cherry blossoms galore! Nara was lovely with the deer that roam about and Hōryū-ji temple. The guides were delightful. It was just my son and I and we felt very safe and taken care of. I rate 4 star as 5 star would be a private tour. We have to recognize a large coach tour for what it is, but they did a fantastic job!!

I made a last-minute booking for myself and my cousin to explore Kyoto. Despite leaving Osaka early at 7 am to ensure punctuality, we encountered issues upon arrival at 8:25 am due to a misleading map provided, possibly by Tripadvisor or the tour company. Unfortunately, we missed the bus, and amidst phone malfunctions and losing my wallet, I sought a refund. The company suggested additional payment for a taxi to join the tour late, which I declined. It appears a refund may not be granted. Attached are photos of the misleading map and our actual location. Future travelers should be cautious of multiple bus locations and be prepared with addresses as English assistance may be limited.
