Full-Day Electric Bike Tour from Paris to Versailles

Awesome way to get to a see Versailles! A scenic ride through the park and forest and the town of Versailles. Way better than taking a bus. The electric bikes make it easy if you aren’t athletic and need a little boost. Good for all levels, there was a bomb threat so we weren’t able to go inside the palace, but our tour guide was great and took us on a cool tour of the city and another scenic way back. Tour guide was awesome, made sure the group was all together and was full of interesting facts.

First class day out with Renoux. Saw bits of Paris you would never otherwise see, visited Petit Versailles, Versailles, the gardens and the Petit Trianon. Had such fun and this was a brilliant way to fit everything in. The e bikes are in great condition and we were very grateful for the rain capes at the end of the day! Thank you!!

Fantastic bike trip. Reno, our tour guide was amazing. Versailles was shut down but Reno found other sites to go to. He was awesome, safe and very friendly. E-bikes were well maintained and easy to operate. Highly recommended

Heads up - This is NOT a leisurely ride. I am an experienced biker and this ALL day tour was a challenge. An older couple seemingly in good shape dropped off along the way. Another person fell on a steep down-heal cobble stone road.
There are stretches of riding on main roads with heavy car traffic both outside and trough the streets in the city of Versailles (?) Without any safety ( reflective signs) provided away from the dark blue helmets. And everyone everyone in the group wearing black . Thankfully we went on a clear sunny day with visibility. I would absolutely suggest to study the weather forecast before booking and Absolutely DO NOT do it on a rainy day ( as it is advertised as “rain or shine”) . That would be both extremely unpleasant and seriously Unsafe. This activity should be advertised more responsibly and transparently -maybe rethink the road for safety and communicate the level of physical agility required and above all provide some safety gear/ signage / vests. At the moment this is one expensive high risk adventure.

Couldn’t recommend the bike trip from Paris to Versailles highly enough. Our family with three teens really enjoyed it. Renaud was an excellent tour guide!

This trip was fantastic!! After the hustle and bustle of the city this was an excellent way to see some beautiful parks and villages on our way to Versailles. The picnic by the Grand Channel was the highlight and Renaud made sure we had plenty of time in each place we stopped. The e-bikes are the way to go on a trip like this and made things a lot easier on the way back! Our favorite day of our trip!

This was one of our favorite experiences on this trip to Paris. We lucked out on very warm, beautiful weather in mid-October. Renaud was a great trip leader and guide. The round trip was about 36 miles and included a visit to a great food and goods market followed by a lovely picnic by the grand canal. This was my first experience with electric bikes and glad to have the assist on some of the hills and cobblestones. We kind of bailed on the interior of the main halls of Versailles due to the overwhelming number of people. I will spend more time in the gardens the next time. We are both very experienced cyclists though that is not necessary. What is necessary is recent familiarity with biking, balance, some level of physical conditioning and good footwear (no sandals or loose shoes). Minimum is good solid sneakers and knowing the front from the back brake! Pack appropriate gear (rain jacket, a layer depending on weather, sunscreen, sunglasses) but don't overpack, bike bags provided. Eat a good breakfast beforehand and be sure to eat on the midday break.

The tour was great! Renaud was a wonderful guide, friendly and knowledgeable. If you like to ride bikes and be outside this is a great way to go see Versailles rather than cab, metro or walking. We had a wonderful ride through the city streets and beautiful countryside trails. We stopped at a lovely Market that had everything you would need for a picnic lunch along the canals surrounding Versailles.

Versailles itself was very very crowded and the audio guide was hard to follow. However, visiting Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet area was pretty cool.

We would highly recommend this tour!

This was a wonderful tour heading from Paris to Versailles. Our family wanted to take a safe bike ride, enjoy a picnic, and visit the palace, we accomplished all these with this tour. Our guide, Renaud was top notch in his knowledge and professional experience in guiding us through the city. A few caveats, the ebikes assist wonderfully, but there is elevation throughout the city and some roadways are uneven, some biking experience would benefit, our teenage daughter did great. This is a MUST on your list of To Do's in this great city.

Had a great time on our bike ride. Our favorite part was shopping in the market and having our picnic lunch by the lake. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an adventure.
