What a fun day this was! We were picked up in San Juan and taken first to this super remote, beautiful beach on the mid-northern coast of Puerto Rico. We hiked over rocky formations to get some absolutely incredible views! I recommend sunscreen!
Then we went to a nearby river to see a waterfall over a dam and were able to swim there in the cool water.
We got lunch at a really tasty local spot, then went to the Camuy Caverns which were just gorgeous in the mid-afternoon sun. The walk down to the cave entrance was also stunning with all the different foliage. We heard that the caves are not what they once were since Hurricane Maria.. but it was still a stunning experience.
The whole trip our little group felt like we were being led about on private tours of all these natural (ish) wonders. Our tour guide, Felix, was fabulous and told us a lot about the history of the areas we were in. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. There is a bit of hiking/scrambling over rocks/etc so good shoes are a must, and this level of activity may not be for everyone.

Our tour guide Joseph was AMAZING! The tour itself was incredibly beautiful and I learned so much about the rich culture of PR, but the fact that Joseph was local and knew so much made it that much better. It was fun to explore Arecibo and see the unique beauty that this place holds. I recommend for anyone looking to learn, see new things, and stay active!

This was an amazing experience we’ll never forget. Don’t skip this tour if you’re ever in the area. I couldn’t recommend it more. Well worth the money.

Joseph was incredible and made us feel like friends immediately.

Don’t forget to grab some hashbrowns for him. They’re his favorite.

Adventure-packed day, including swimming in a secluded river and waterfall, and visiting the Camuy Caves and the Cuevas del Indio, two of the great wonders of Puerto Rico. It was very useful to have a semi-private tour guide for the caves, compared to the 50 to 60-people group tours offered at the Camuy Caves entrance. Gabriel was an amazing driver/guide/hypeman/translator/waiter/etc. Very good place for lunch too, about 13 to 15 USD.

We started the day hiking to this free....waterfall but it was cold and only a couple people got in the water...then we changed and went somewhere to eat which wasn't that good but cheap..thank goodness since the tour was very expensive...we to the caverns which was long and drawn out our guide took forever in them them disappeared after we got done...for a long time didn't say anything...besides complaining about the other guides not charging the lights..we get loaded back up and says didn't anyone get ice cream or souvenirs...well no our money was locked on the bus..smh..then we drove to seven arches which was beautiful but we all was so bummed to not actually have some down time..at the beach..literally hiking and more hiking with no down time and everyone would have rather got wet in the afternoon when it wasn't cold.
