Join this full-day bus tour from Hiroshima Station, as we will visit some popular attractions. The first stop will be Itsukushima Shrine at Miyajima Island, which is famous for the historic site of Shinto. This shrine is known as one of the most scenic spots in Japan.

You will definitely enjoy the beautiful red shrine as if it were floating in the middle of the sea. We will also visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, which tells us how miserable the destructive effects of nuclear warfare are and how important peace is. We will also visit Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum.

1. Atomic Bomb Dome
When Japan joined the UNESCO World Heritage Convention in 1992, people including a-bombed survivors began to raise their voice in support of making the A-bomb Dome a World Heritage Site. A national campaign to collect signatures conducted by the citizens of Hiroshima was a success, and it was designated as a national historical site in June 1995 and registered on the list of World Heritage Sites in 1996 as a symbol calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons and for world peace.
2. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
※If Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will take you to visit Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead. On August 6, 1949, with enactment of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial City Construction Law, it was decided that the entire Nakajima District would be devoted to "peace memorial facilities," and that was the beginning of what is now Peace Memorial Park. The park covers approximately 122,100 square meters. It was designed by Kenzo Tange, a professor at Tokyo University, and three others, whose proposal was selected through a design competition that drew 145 proposals. At the south edge of the park is a line of three buildings: the East Building and the Main Building of the Peace Memorial Museum, and the International Conference Center Hiroshima.
3. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
Peace Memorial Museum. Consisting of two buildings, the museum surveys the history of Hiroshima and the advent of the nuclear bomb. Its main focus though is on the events of August 6: the dropping of the bomb and its outcome in human suffering. The personal details displayed are quite upsetting and serve to remind that we should not take peace for granted. ※If Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed, we will take you to visit Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims instead.
4. Itsukushima Shrine Torii
The shrine is located in a small inlet, while the torii gate is set out in the Seto Inland Sea. Paths lead around the inlet, and visitors enjoy walking along them while looking out onto the sea. After sunset, the shrine and the torii gate are illuminated daily until 23:00, providing a perfect backdrop for ryokan guests to enjoy an evening walk in yukata and geta sandals. It is not possible to enter the shrine after sunset though. 1 hour is lunch time . The mid-movement time is about 30 minutes.

The reason the trip was so fabulous was because of our guide Hiro. He is so passionate about Hiroshima and Japanese history and culture, he continuously (but not too much) gave a running commentary about where we were, what the history and significance was as well as interesting personal snippets of related information. I couldn’t recommend this trip more highly if led by Hiro. Thank you Hiro for such a wonderful day!

The tour was very well organised and very well worth it. We visited the island of Miyajima and was such a nice ending to the tour. We really enjoyed listening about the history of Hiroshima and enjoyed a lovely Okonomiyaki in a local restaurant. I definitely recommend this tour, really worth it!

The Peace Park and Museum were very moving and definitely a must for all to see. The tour guide was great and she looked after the group very well. Enjoyed the Island although very touristy.

Excellent tour. Great guide Hiroshima native, Joe was an excellent story teller for all events occured in Hiroshima in the past and present. Transportation bus was very comfortable, along with trip to Miyajima island. Very condensed schedule. However, if you are on short timelines this tour covers the main attractions pretty well and gives you one hour extra in peace memorial museum and another 1.5 hour in the island after the tour.

Our guide was amazing. She was very enthusiastic and proud of her heritage. Even though the group was big, she attended to everyone's needs and spent time getting to know us.

The only critique I have is that the order confirmation emails don't contain the departure location and time. We almost missed out on this great experience, but we are lucky to have been called to help us get to the train in time.

Very interesting tour and a very knowledgeable and kind guide, Tsutomu-san. He was explaining all the backgrounds and details about japanese culture, was funny at times. Unfortunately it was a rainy day, but the weather didn't stop us from having a good time and a very educating tour, especially in Hiroshima.

On the whole it was a very good tour. The only disappointment was, with both of us being vegetarian, the pancake at lunch, This had pork in and all the man did who was cooking it was scrape the pork off at the end of cooking so we went to Lawsons instead. Otherwise it was a well organised trip.

It was still enjoyavle, although there was a little rain while we were having the walking tour. But rain stopped when we went to miyajima island, so we enjoyed tge weather, and there were lota of good food on the island.
