Alex did a great job of giving us options and then letting everyone on the tour choose the experience that they wanted to have. Coímbra was very beautiful and I’m glad that I got to see the University and the views of the Mondego River. When we got to Fatima, he accompanied me and another solo female traveler to the basilica which we both really appreciated. He is fun, friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. At the end of the tour, he even gave me recommendations for my trip to the Azores. Highly recommend Alex as a tour guide!

We had such a good time on this trip, Tiago S. was fantastic. He managed three different languages on our tour with such ease. He explained everything in English first, then Spanish and Italian. He is very passionate and informative about every aspect of the tour. He had great historical knowledge of the country. He looked after each passenger with great attention making sure everyone was happy with information given. Would definitely recommend this tour and especially with our guide Tiago S.

José has a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain the backstory behind Fátima while changing between English and French seamlessly, all while driving us 2 hours south from Porto! Coimbra is also well worth a visit. Lunch was also very tasty - buffet with lots of choice.

Isabella our guide was excellent. We had a day of torrential rain but she still managed to make the day interesting and enjoyable. Our driver was exceptional in difficult conditions.

Our guide, Alex, took us to Coimbra first, where we visited the university and then spent time in the main avenue. Alex had attended the university and was able to share stories and first hand knowledge. Coimbra was such a charming town and we wished we would have had one time. We expected to be able to see the famous university library but it was undergoing renovations and only allowed a few number of people in (based on first come, first serve - its too bad the tour company couldn't arrange that). We then traveled to Fatima. The shine is unbelievable. So much larger than St. Peter's. It massive and beautiful. But, that's really all there is to see. We had 2 hours on our own there and it was too much. Would have rather had more time in Coimbra. There were only 7 of us on the tour, which was nice. It was very, very hot during our trip - over 90 degrees and there was no air circulation at the back of the minivan, which is where we sat. The ride back was brutal. Lunch was provided. We at at a hotel.in Fatima. It was buffet style and just okay, nothing special. Our guide was amazing. He translated in both English and French throughout, as we had a mix. Very impressive. And he was so knowledgeable. He made the trip extra special.

Long bus ride from Porto. Most time was spent in Fatima - a religious shrine with little time in Coimbra, a much more interesting city. The guide barely spoke English. Don’t recommend.
