Valentina our tour guide did an amazing job, and our driver was also excellent. The highlight of the tour was Neruda's house in Valparaiso.
The only thing that could have been better were pick up logistics. We were told to be at Plaza d'Armas at 7:45 am, and a bus didn't come until 8:20.

Had a nice time on our tour of Valparaiso. We originally did not want to do a tour with a large group (23 people) but it was smooth and actually made us feel safer being in a group.

You don’t have much time on your own, but it worked out fine.

Luciano (our guide) was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. And our driver, Eugenio, handled the coach confidently and safely.

Nice trip but technical problems on the coach meant we could not hear commentary. Also constant background noise from loud aircon unit resulted in complete lack of guides briefing

In a nutshell: this was a really enjoyable day, with our guide Juan providing lots of interesting information about the country and landmarks (thanks!). The winetasting was also fun and informative and Valparaiso is amazing, so I can't imagine anyone not enjoying that!

So why only four stars? In short, and this is sort of by design / virtue of the format, the trip is a bit disrespectful of your time. For example, I ran to be at the central pickup point at 8am, from where we were taken to a parking lot outside a closed mall. We waited there for 40 minutes for the "proper" tour to start at 9am, and there were many more interesting places I would have preferred to spend that time (longer in bed on a Sunday being one of them :-)).

Also, there's a coach full of people, and it's pretty clear it won't leave without all of them, which other participants frequently abused. I.e., if you end up showing on time, you may well spend another hour during the day sitting in a bus, waiting for the latecomers to kindly show up... I think the solution to that would be a smaller bus, or just leaving without those who show up late (though I suspect the resulting negative reviews is one reason that won't ever happen).

Would I do it again? Probably yes, though a very tempting alternative would be just to hop on a regular bus to Valparaiso and get lost there for a day exploring that little gem of a city...

I had a fabulous solo tour with Renaldo. He has perfect English and a rich understanding of the history, art, and culture of Valparaiso. I learned so much and had fun. I highly recommend this tour and requesting this guide!

Great overview of the countryside outside of Santiago as well as the coastal towns. They pack a lot into this tour and we were very satisfied. Our guide Jacqueline spoke excellent English as well as Spanish and did a good job keeping everything on track.

Comfortable luxury bus took us there. Very informative. But as in all tours, there is no downtime to explore.
The restaurant we went to, I as a vegetarian had minimal choices. The salad i ordered, i got bowl of raw broccoli, tomatoes, palms of hearts and lettuce. No dressing. Very disappointed

The trip was fantastic!!!! The guides, Alejandro, Lisa and Eugenio, made the trip. My wife and I have been to over 100 countries and excursions. Everything on this excursion was prefect: Eugenio, our driver, was exceptional. We always felt safe and he was on time at every stop. Lisa was a wonderful addition as a second guide. However, the highlight of the tour was Alejandro. He was amazing!!! The tour was in three languages, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Alejandro was knowledgeable, entertaining and switched languages with ease. Most of the time we didn’t even feel like he was speaking in the other languages since he switched flawlessly between languages. The wine tour was the highlight for us with Valparaiso a close second. Again, one of our best excursions ever!!!!
