We will pick you up from Reykjavik on our minivan marked with our Troll Expeditions Logo.
The pick up starts at the same time stated on your voucher and it can last up to 30 minutes.
Once everyone is aboard, off we go to Thingvellir National park to take part in one of the most exciting activities in the world: snorkelling between 2 continental tectonic plates!
Our guide will be at the meeting point waiting for you; once there, you will get ready with all the gears we provide: you just need to make sure you wear comfortable clothes (a thin layer of thermal clothes is recommended). It will take 5 minutes to walk to the Silfra fissure. From the outside, you may think this is just a regular lake; wait to be immersed underwater, and you will see the wonders of pure and clear glacier water, with an extraordinary visibility of about 100 meters! Our guide will take photos of you while snorkelling.
Once the activity has finished and everyone is ready, we will drive you back to Reykjavik.

What an outstanding and memorable trip this was. This is a must activity for anyone visiting Iceland. The Troll team are extremely professional and fun to be with. Facilities were perfectly organised for our large group - changing, suit fitting, refreshments, etc. Very smooth process with no waiting times. 45 mins in the water and the dry suits are amazing - not a drop of water gets in and you are completely warm in the 2 degrees water. Your face is the only bit exposed to the water and you do not really feel the cold. Your hair and hands may get a little wet, but they are well insulated and covered at all times. An all round superb experience.

Wow, dressing was difficult!! and extremely cold!! There were many parts that needed to be carefully layered together. Our guide Kevin from Austria took care to make sure the pieces fit well. The suits worked to keep out the water and the visibility was good. Be sure and drink the water!! You work hard for it. Thank you Kevinfor your explanations and confidence.

Some things are so naturally amazing that no words do them justice, which could mean this review would stop right here, yet there are some words which definitely require to be said about this experience.
First of all our guide Kevin was beyond expectation, knowledgeable, funny, welcoming and excellent at his craft, we felt completely at home in the foreign environment of bone chilling waters. The post snorkel hot chocolate was exceptional and the photos he took were epic. You could never take the photos he took and snorkel at the same time so the set up was a beautiful blessing.
When it comes to what you actually experience, it is awe inspiring, we have seen many natural wonders and this had us saying “Wow” in complete wonder over and over again.
Highly recommended, and if you can…ask for Kevin the Fabled Diver of the Northern Seas.

We did the snorkeling trip with our guide elza. She was fantastic- very knowledgeable, easy to listen to and a good sense of humor! Much appreciated the warm drink at the end and the pictures came out great!

Very nice activity combined with an experienced tour guide and good equipment. The tour itself is being recorded through a gopro and all the pictures are easily downloadable through their cloud storage afterwards!
Would definitly recommend using Troll Expeditions!

Had a wonderful experience doing the silfa snorkeling adventure. This was my first time Snorkeling and I was nervous, Leo our snorkeling guide helped feel comfortable, and ensured I had a great time and this was probably one of the best outdoors experience I've ever had while on vacation. I was going to be cold,but they provided fleece long underwear to wear underneath the drysuit, and I was never cold once. The silfa was absolutely georgeous and my only complaint was that the tour was too short at 45 min. I highly recommend this tour when visiting Iceland!!!
Shoutout to Leo he was an amazing guide!!!
