The whale watching tour was well worth it! We had a plethora of whale sightings and the captain kept us entertained with his humor and fascinating facts about whales. I highly recommend this excursion!

The winds were 60 mph and there were lots of whales breaching. it was a sunny day and we loved the choppy waves and the adventure of it all. Totally memorable! one of our favorite experiences in Maui!
The Calypso was great and our guide/captain was fun and energetic. Altogether a fabulous afternoon.

We took this cruise and the crew were very helpful as I use a rollator so got us on board with minimal fuss. We had a table on the first deck (of three) and on the starboard side.
Took about 45 minutes to get out to the area where the whales concentrate between Maui and Molokai and on the way out all of the whales seen were on the port side! But once there the nunber of humpback whales that were visible was quite large and some great sights. One big male was showing his dominance to two smaller ones with a chin slap and a tail slap to get their attention. Also saw females and calves as well as lots of action under the boat.
For those with better mobility than I there was a glass bottom section where you could go down and observer the whales under the boat.
They also offered soft drinks for $2 each with a free refill and mixed drinks for $3.
While the view would have been better from either the bow or the open third deck, due to the high winds and occasional rains we were happy inside!

Windiest tour ever! I thought we wouldn't go out, but we did and it was fantastic!! It startet with a seaturtle in the harbour - nice. We headed through breathtaking wind to Waleia/Makena. The waves were white on top so it was difficult to discover whales. We saw some backs but nothing exciting - until suddenly a mother with her baby and to males chasing them were circelling around the Calypso. It was amazing to see this big creatures! We were overwhelmed. As this was not enough, many spinner dolphins escorted our boat on our way back to the harbour!
