Our tour guide was great, picked up promptly, very knowledgable and felt spoilt as there was only 3 of us on the tour.
We loved the Fairview experience - we were all non red wine drinkers and this was easily accommodated with a variety of white wines and cheeses. The 2nd winery was not so great for white wine drinkers but the views were spectacular, We really liked the quick stop off in Stellenbosch, we will go back to explore again.

Picked up from hotel on time with several other people set off driver fully engaged and knowledgeable and friendly. Explained the tour well. Did two wineries which met our expectations from what driver indicated. Tour group jelled really well had lots of fun and laughs. Ended tour with group photo and exchange of contact details. Arrived back at hotel safely ?

Shane was energetic, very knowledgeable, clear on timings and great fun. No up sells or anything, just an honest guy, really appreciated. Also a very good driver. Recommended trip!

We could not reccomend this tour enough,Marco was so kind and genuine and knew a great deal about wines.
The drive was perfect and we never felt rushed,the two wineries were gorgeous.
We were so happy with the day as Marco made us feel so welcome and was great to be in his company,such a pleasant and intelligent man!

Like everyone says, the setting & views are awesome. Staff very knowledgeable about the wines & explained what we should experience in the tasting. Unfortunately for us the wines were not quite to our taste. But we throughly enjoyed our visit.

The tour was fun and all but the guide lost control of the schedule very quickly, and instead of finishing at 6pm, we got back to the hotel around 10pm. He also implied that it’s on us because we “didn’t want to leave.” Which is not quite fair because we were relying on his instructions on when we need to move to the next location/leave - he should not be counting on a bunch of buzzed people on time keeping!
And honestly, this all would have been ok, because we confirmed earlier that we’re not in a rush (although I thought that meant finishing tour an hour or so later, not four) but because we were coming back so late, the guide had to switch cars (???) so we were doing that at night, in more remote residential area. And that’s when I started to get really upset because it started to feel weird and unsafe. All was fine in the end, but it was certainly not a smooth as I would have liked it to be (especially travelling solo. The whole itinerary for the tour needs to be revamped and time keeping enforced when needed.

We visited two wineries on our wine tour - Fairview and Marianne. At Fairview, the service was superb and the wines and cheese were delicious. The jams that accompanied the cheese were amazing! Our wine experts were very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Loganne is the BEST!
Marianne had a beautiful view on the outside balcony overlooking the wine farms. However, I found the wines were just okay and I didn’t like the meat that accompanied the wines. The service was just okay.
All in all, we tasted 6 wines at Fairview and 5 at Marianne (both decent pours for a tasting)!
The reason I am leaving 3 stars is because of the tour guide. The tour guide who took us on the tour was a detractor to our experience. He picked us up about 25 minutes late. And then complained to us for about 45 minutes about some guests who did not arrive for pickup. Although we had a late start, he assured us that we’d still have the full experience. But when we got to the wine farms, we were rushed. Further, it was hard to understand what he was saying as he had a very thick accent when speaking English. We did several guided tours while in South Africa and all of our other guides were really good; unfortunately, it was not the case on this tour.
As far as the tour company itself, I am appreciative because they were able to accommodate us at the last minute and switch our wine tour day.

Amazing half day vineyard tour with an amazing guide. You will get a chance to sample over 10 types of wines across two beautiful vineyards and a variety of cheese and biltong to pair with the wines. Our guide was patient, knowledgeable and really kind. Perfect half day tour and beautiful town of Stellenbosch, just be careful not to get too drunk on the nice wines :)
