We loved our Four Winds experience! My 9 year-old had never snorkelled in the ocean, and the crew was so encouraging to her! The whole crew was friendly and helpful. The bbq was really good. There were lots of options for floatation devices for all ages. Thanks for a great time Four Winds II crew! We opted for the photo package and it was worth it. Go with them and have a great time!

First time in Maui and first time snorkelling. This was a showcase event for us and it didn't disappoint. Greeted in a friendly manner by all crew and there were a few whales around and the snorkelling, while initially a bit apprehensive was one of the great experiences for adults and children alike. We happened to pick a great weather day aswell.
Some details:
1. We set sail at 7.30 and arrived back at 12:40
2. When you arrive, you'll feel the pull to park in the first park you see, but around the bend as you drive further there are parks near Slip 80 and all along there.
3. Parking costs a dollar an hour
4. Breakfast is coffee and muffins and fruit, you can get these as soon as you board.
4. You get about 100 minutes snorkelling time from about 10am.
5. The tour we were on had 108 people on it so don't go in thinking think it's a small tour group. Heaps of snorkelling room though although at the start it is hustle and bustle. We found as time went by, the numbers dwindled and many returned to the boat. One of the crew said that normal tours have been about 70 to 80 recently.
6. Lunch after snorkelling is a choice of pulled pork burger, chicken burger, hot dog or vegan burger with leftovers if there is some. Potato chips too with a drink.
7. On the way back you'll get a cookie and a drink of alcohol if you so wish.
8. The sea was fairly calm and there didn't seem to be much seasickness about. I can be susceptible but felt fine. My wife did get a little queasy on the way to the crater.
9. Some whales appeared, not heaps, but the main event was snorkelling and it was great getting that close to the reef and the fish.

From beginning to end- the crew was helpful, kind and super fun! We had a great experience! We saw whales, turtles, eels and all kinds of fish. We loved the food and drinks. There was a slide off the boat for when the younger ones got tired of snorkeling. We ordered the photo package which was worth every penny. 85$ got us 77 photos and 10 videos of us under water playing. It was a windy day- and it didn’t even matter- the boat was very stable and the captain took us out to see whales close up when they spotted and breeched. The crew pointed out flying fish. Can’t say enough nice things. We all left smiling! Mahalo Four Winds especially Phillip, Jesse,Dane, Richard and Brian

Last-minute trip and it was AMAZING! I think I was expecting it to be like some other similar excursions where it's staffed by a bunch of college kids who are doing the bare minimum. Nope, this crew was professional and absolutely focused on each of us having a fabulous and safe time. Each one of them was knowledgeable, funny, well-mannered, and attentive. And the food was surprisingly great!
Also, a wide variety of sea life in a beautiful setting!
The boat was spacious and they didn't overbook it so we had plenty of room to move about and change seats/viewpoints throughout the day. (Other boats on similar excursions were so much more packed in.)
I can't say enough good things about this group and the overall trip. Definitely a great choice for people of all ages and abilities.

We spontaneously decided we wanted to take an afternoon snorkel tour and this couldn't have worked out better. The crew on Four Winds were so professional and excited to show off their beautiful island from the water. We had so much fun seeing beautiful corals and fish. Probably the most fun part though was the silliness that ensued when the slide came out and the entire boat seemed to get in on the action! The food and drinks were amazing and somehow the crew created an atmosphere were everyone had the best time, from young and old alike!

The crew was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Snuba was a wonderful addition that added an amazing experience with the snorkeling. Would definitely recommend this company and crew for anyone looking for a Molokini adventure.

The hands down thing that was best about Four Winds II was how they cater to families. We went on a trip with a three year old and he had the time of his life. The boat had a bunch of other families with small kids too, which was awesome. They really made us feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. Pretty special to have that big of a tour be so inclusive for the keikis.

The boat is a roomy twin hull so stable on the ride out and back and while moored inside the crater. This day they used engine and no sail. The crew is fantastic. Friendly and helpful and safe. All snorkel equipment is provided. SNUBA is available for reservation for an extra fee. There's a photographer aboard who can take photos both above and below water for a fee. UW cameras can be rented. Food and drink were good. The heads were clean. Molokini Crater itself was not in great shape. We dived West Maui the prior week and compared to that the coral and fish life was just a bit sad and grey. Triggerfish, angels, crown of thorns, and some others, but sparse. Not the diversity and quantity of colorful fish compared to sites like Mala Pier.
