I was only in Fort Lauderdale for one full day pre-cruise so I wanted to do something that would let me see much of the city. The water taxi had a stop right outside my hotel (Hilton Marina) and seemed to cover a large area so I booked the ticket. All very easy, you book in advance (you can pay on the day but before boarding the taxi) and just get on. There are a good number of staff at each stop and on each taxi and everyone was helpful. The narration as you go was interesting, helpful and entertaining.

As a solo traveler that had never been to Fort Lauderdale, I loved the water taxi, because the tour gave me a good idea of where everything in the city was and a new perspective of the city. The boat ride is a bit long, I think I spent 2-3 hours on the boat, but I definitely don’t regret it because I got to see a lot of really cool houses and yachts. I don’t know if I would recommend this over an Uber if you are just looking for a quick way to get around the city, as it is a slow ride, but if you are new to the city and want a tour, it is fun.

This is my second time taking this tour, it is very good.
You can see the canals of Fort L. As if you were in the canals of Venice but here you see the mansions with their yachts at the door.

I went on the water taxi yesterday and was so impressed with one particular guide, Jeremy! I have traveled on the water taxi over the last 20 years, many many times with guest visiting me, but I have never had so much really good information as Jeremy gave us on our trip back from Hollywood from discussing the cruise port, the working port and the natural Parks that we pass on the way he had wonderful information!
The water taxi is a wonderful asset to our area and I would recommend it highly as a must do when visiting in this area.

Our tour started out a lil rocky due to the weather but once the clouds/rain moved out (15min) it was great and relaxing. The guides had some funny & interesting stories along the way and they provided some cool info, even if some of it was fabricated. We had a great time and used the recommendation to eat at one of the restaurants we passed by. All in all it was a great way to kill time while waiting for our late plane departure after disembarking from our cruise in the morning. Also, it was a great value for the price.

Had a wonderful day on the water taxi. Started at 5 and did the whole tour. We got off three times and even did the water trolley. All the crews were great - informative and funny ( some jokes were worse than mine)! We thought very good value for money and the most time we ever waited was 15 minutes. The app showing the location of boats worked well.

Best value in town! Your guides were so friendly. Can’t wait to do it again! Getting off at different points, downtown, Hollywood, and Hugh Taylor Patk, to explore made the experience more than just a tour by boat.

For the most part, the water taxi was very good. We were able to get on & off & explore places on our own. But at one stop, they suddenly put all the pasengers off, Saying that the original boat was "out of service". We had to wait for a different boat for about 40 minutes in the sun. The new boat was already at our location, but it took 40 minutes for it to pick us up.
Waiting in the sun for 40 minutes was not fun
