It was too windy for the beach so we decided to do something we had talked about for awhile. We got all day passes to the water taxi and spent a highly enjoyable day on the water. Everyone in our group commented many times, what a great day on the water. This was by far the best thing we could have done for an enjoyable day on the water. We went to every stop and even took the Hollywood transfer. We ended back at shooters for our 9:00 pm reservation.

Had a great day on the water. Weather was very good. We got a preview of the air show as they practiced. Lots to see along the river.

Used the Hollywood express and then spent most of the day riding around. Staff was friendly, helpful and entertaining. A perfect way to experience Fort Lauderdale.

Bad experience for the return. There was a mechanical problem with the boat which led us to transfer to another one. The next boat didn't have enough space for all the passengers. We were a family of 5 adults (2 pregnant women) with two toddlers. When onboarding the next boat there was only 5 spaces left and they told us that we couldn't get in. We had two tired child and two pregnant women. Nobody had the sympathy to let us in. We had to wait again for the next boat which led us being late to our parking meter. We got a fine for overtime which should be taken care by Water Taxi since the issue started with their mechanical problems. Very unpleasant experience.

I was only in Fort Lauderdale for one full day pre-cruise so I wanted to do something that would let me see much of the city. The water taxi had a stop right outside my hotel (Hilton Marina) and seemed to cover a large area so I booked the ticket. All very easy, you book in advance (you can pay on the day but before boarding the taxi) and just get on. There are a good number of staff at each stop and on each taxi and everyone was helpful. The narration as you go was interesting, helpful and entertaining.

As a solo traveler that had never been to Fort Lauderdale, I loved the water taxi, because the tour gave me a good idea of where everything in the city was and a new perspective of the city. The boat ride is a bit long, I think I spent 2-3 hours on the boat, but I definitely don’t regret it because I got to see a lot of really cool houses and yachts. I don’t know if I would recommend this over an Uber if you are just looking for a quick way to get around the city, as it is a slow ride, but if you are new to the city and want a tour, it is fun.

This is my second time taking this tour, it is very good.
You can see the canals of Fort L. As if you were in the canals of Venice but here you see the mansions with their yachts at the door.

I went on the water taxi yesterday and was so impressed with one particular guide, Jeremy! I have traveled on the water taxi over the last 20 years, many many times with guest visiting me, but I have never had so much really good information as Jeremy gave us on our trip back from Hollywood from discussing the cruise port, the working port and the natural Parks that we pass on the way he had wonderful information!
The water taxi is a wonderful asset to our area and I would recommend it highly as a must do when visiting in this area.
