This tour gives us the opportunity to visit and explore the places where St. Paul preached to the ancient Greeks in Athens and Corinth, in a day.
The tour starts by visiting the “Areos Pagos” (literally, Mars Hill) at the foot of the Acropolis.
Continuing our tour to our next stop, the “Agora”, we’ll have the opportunity of a sightseeing in the centre of Athens. (Temple of Zeus-1896 Olympic stadium-Presidential Palace-Greek Parliament-Changing of the Guards).
With our visit to the “Agora” we conclude the Athens part of our tour and we continue to visit Corinth and the Corinth Canal. The Canal (approx. 6 km long connecting the Aegean with the Ionian Sea)where we have a brief stop for photos. Then we visit Ancient Corinth where we visit the museum and the archaeological site where the “Bema” is.
We conclude our tour in Corinth with lunch in a traditional Greek taverna and we start our return trip to Athens via Kechries, the port of Corinth from where St. Paul sailed to Ephessus.

Nikos and his team went above and beyond to tailor our itinerary to our specific interests and needs. I had asked that one tour end at the cruise terminal and they were easily able to accommodate that. When we went through one site faster than they expected, they changed the luncheon plans to allow us to have a lunch at a far more interesting spot and added a secondary site near Delphi as well.
Each of the four cars used by Private Greece Tours for our tours were modern, comfortable, and immaculately maintained. The drivers were also excellent drivers. We always felt safe and comfortable in their care. It is these drivers/tour guides which set Private Greece Tours apart. They speak excellent English but also possess a wealth of local knowledge, both current and related to the ancient sites, that made the sometimes long drives interesting. Their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our need was great, ensuring that we made the most of our time in Greece.
I must commend Nikos and his team for their professionalism and attention to detail. On more than one occasion, they politely corrected us when our suggestions didn't quite align with the realities of navigating Greece's bustling streets. Their insights and expertise proved invaluable, allowing us to experience the very best that this beautiful country has to offer.

I was looking for tours to take while in Greece and one of the first search results was P.G.T. Tour Group. I emailed Nikos for information on 2 of his tours and he replied very quickly, even though it must have been late evening in Greece. Once I had received and reviewed the information, I booked two tours which was both painless and simple. Nikos supplied a detailed confirmation letter of the bookings. On comparing with other tours, these were very competitively priced. One of the main pros of these tours are that, as the website says, these are private tours and the itinerary can be adjusted to suit your needs.
We booked the “In the Footsteps of St Paul” tour as the first of 2 two tours. Our driver, Mario, turned up at our hotel a few minutes early and we were soon on the road. As we had toured the Acropolis and Agora the day before – it had been Monuments Day, so free admission! – we asked to go to the National Archeological Museum first, instead, which was no trouble. Afterwards, we left for Corinth and had a great discussion with Mario about St Paul, along with a general discussion on Greek history.
The brief stop at the Corinth Canal was perfect before moving on to Corinth itself. The site is well worth visiting. After Corinth, we visited the port at Kechries, where St Paul left Greece. Mario then found us a lovely little seaside restaurant where we had a late lunch before returning to Athens.
Overall, this was an excellent day out with a very knowledgeable and friendly driver/guide. The booking process was easy, and Nikos was very responsive to my emails – and many questions! I highly recommend P.G.T. Tour Group.

The excursion went great! Plenty of communication with the tour operator beforehand, so we had confidence in the plan. George was there early, so we walked out and got underway quickly. Ask for George, he is a great talker and very knowledgeable. Since we had toured the Acropolis the day before, he talked about what we had seen to understand it better, but used the time to drive toward Corinth. Time well spent! Ask George to take you to the barber where Paul got his hair cut before leaving Corinth! (spoiler: it is not there anymore).

Spiros was an amazing, knowledgeable tour guide who tailored the tour to our preferences and list of to dos! His recommendations from food to activities were spot on…We went to Corinth and Athens and had a fabulous time! 10/10 recommend!

We arranged two tours with P.G.T. Tour Group. Our first tour began from ATH. Spyros was waiting for us just outside side of baggage claim. During our drive to Cape Sounion, Spyros, shared facts about Greece, the history of the region, and information about Greek mythology. Upon arrival to The Temple of Poseidon, Spyros provided instructions on how to pay and enter the site, made suggestions on great photographic vantage points, and where to meet him after we completed our visit.
The following day, Spyros, collected us from our hotel. We customized an itinerary that followed the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. We also included a stop at the Monastery of Dafni, Canal of Corinth, ancient Corinth, and Acrocorinth Castle.
We would highly recommend Spyros and P.G.T. Tours. They truly allowed us to personalize the tour. We were allowed to control the time spent at each location and add stops as requested. Spyros was very knowledgeable and provided helpful suggestions for exploring Athens and some local eateries.

Highly recommend PGT tour group . Apostoli our driver was excellent . On time , great driver , clean vehicle with AC. The half day tour from Athens Airport to Corinth Canal , Ancient Corinth Museum, beautiful lunch and the Freddo Cappacino upon completion was wonderful ! Highly recommend this private tour company .
