Food and Mixology Tour: Tequila, Tacos, and Mexican Cocktails

This tour was great!!! Our tour guide Miel did a wonderful job explaining the different foods and cocktails we were tasting and the culture and culinary significance of each of them. Overall she was very friendly and knowledgeable! I would definitely recommend doing this food tour! The helpings were generous and the booze was flowing.

Edgar was an excellent tour guide! The food was great! And drinks too. We really enjoyed his informative details about the food, restaurants and neighborhood. Really good tour!

I'm giving this 4 1/2 stars. This was a really fun walking tour of the romantic zone of PV. One thing to note: You do not go to places listed in the "what to expect" tab. Just know this in advance.
We started at a restaurant that was SO good, we wanted to stay all day! We had the best cocktail ever in a very cool clay pot-styled glass rimmed in the best seasoning I've ever had. This drink was a 10! From there we went to 6 other places, each with its special cocktail or tasty treat. A few places were truly "hole-in-the-wall" gems that I don't think I would have ever noticed if I had not been guided in. These are the best kind of unexpected finds.

Why am cutting my stars down by 1/2. I do not like being patronized for 10 minutes on why I need to tip my guide. I find it tacky and it cheapened the experience right off the bat. Listen, I get it... I've worked in service and letting people know that you would appreciate their tips at the end, if you enjoyed your time, is one thing but making it a speaking point of the initial tour just starts the experience off with a bad taste in the mouth.

Gio provided great education and immersion in culture of mexcal and food in local community. A great variety of restaurants, food truck, mixology and tastings.

Our tour guide Christian was knowledgeable and friendly. Every stop had a story and was unique. Three hours went by quickly Christian made the most of every minute.

This is a fantastic tour!! When I first booked I hadn’t realized I booked it a day early and my cruise wouldn’t be there until the next day. I reached out and they gladly swapped my sister and I to the next day. We arrived at the meeting point and were treated by Silvia. Words can not begin to explain how wonderful she was! Very knowledgeable and very funny! If you book this I highly recommend requesting her!!

Gio was an absolute blast. He was conversational, fun, and passionate about sharing knowledge about PV, the food, and a TON about tequila and mezcal.

We LOVED that it was a small group (4) and how each stop was not just a typical tourist spot. The last stop at the Pulqueria was fantastic for education about something we knew nothing about!

Such a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it. Gio was amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the food and the history of tequila in PV. Thank you for making this tour fun and educational. I HIGHLY recommend arriving at Lazaro Cardenas Park early so you can enjoy the beautiful mosaic art all over the park. Itd breathtaking! Thanks again Gio. ❤️
