The statue of David is a spiritual experience. It was even better to have an expert tell us about it.

Francesca was so knowledgeable and spoke clearly. The background she provided was so helpful in understanding the magnificence of this piece of art. Our group was large but we had a radio and earbuds which worked well. Good tour!

We totally lucked out on two levels: we had a small group of 4, and Amadeus was our tour guide. He is passionate about art, Michelangelo, and imparting his knowledge to everyone in the group. He took us on a 90 minute tour through the Academy, ending in front of the statue of David, and we had a thorough understanding of what David meant to the not just the world of art, but to the Italians during Michelangelo's time. The museum counts how many people are allowed in at any point, so it's not a scrum as say, the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, but you have plenty of time to linger, admire, and actually be really close and see all the art and marvel at it at your leisure. Thank you, Professor Amadeus!

I was late to the meeting point and yet a representative got me a ticket and help me skip the line into the museum. Very grateful for their help and service. Museum was still a wonderful experience. To go without a skip the line ticket is insanity.

Very good experience with first class private guide in a tightly crowded facility. Definitely worth the cost to avoid the very long entry lines in hot conditions with direct sun outside.
