This was an impressive tour to tell others about. We arrived at the meeting spot before daylight. That in itself was pretty remarkable to witness without people on the street. We were able to have breakfast as a group - a light bite and coffee at an impressive cafe nearby. Followed by the guards opening the Duomo which felt like something to brag about with this private access through this tour only. From there we toured it all and hiked up the steps - which wasn't as intense as I thought it'd be. Getting to see the murals up close was something wild as well as hearing the monks singing below. But the most breathtaking was the view at the top of the city right after sunrise. This is a great tour for those into history, architecture, or who want an impressive VIP experience.

It was nice to have a guided tour to explain the outside features and history. It’s definitely worth the climb to get great views of Florence once outside on terrace. Smaller group and less crowded.

SO amazing and well worth booking early and the steep price! There is so much included though. Going into the pitch black cathedral and watching the lights come up, no one but your small group inside. Absolute silence, except the crickets. Same for the Baptistry. Quick pastry and coffee break was not expected. Seeing the dome's frescos up close were indescribable, stunning. Then once our climb to the top of the dome was done, we found out our tickets covered so many other Duomo connected areas. We went up the bell tower, into to the museum, and then the catacomb/roman church ruins below/back into the cathedral with the masses - ALL included!

Thank you Maria for a wonderful tour of the Florence duomo! We were in awe of not only the beauty of the site but also how much you knew about its history and construction. It was exciting to climb to the top of the duomo and the view was spectacular. Even thought this is a group tour, you feel like it’s a private experience with how attentive and special this experience is.

The provider Florence Town tours was very good, our guide was exceptional from the start of our walk, it was one of our top bookings. Seeing the magnificence of this place-start at ground level and gradually land then from the top highest levels inside the dome looking down was truly mesmerizing, then finally making it out onto the terrace on a fairly nice day was spectacular. I felt like we had ample time for each segment in their tour. Also hearing about the history, the artists and the stories of the duomo & baptistery and the stories of the gates of paradise was nicely conveyed. Glad we did this, highly this tour operator. But be ready to climb, the walls begin to narrow as you get higher. The ticket we had also provided access to the bell tower and opera del duomo museo where the original baptistery doors can be seen, it was nice we could go back and use the ticket the next day as it would have been too much in one go!
