2. Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore
Enter the iconic cathedral from a separate entrance for small groups. In the company of your expert guide, learn about the Cathedral, its construction through the centuries, and how it came to be the center of Florence's religious life. Your guide will help you understand how the Duomo relates to all of the other gorgeous buildings in the Square. Your Brunelleschi Pass will give you access to the Cathedral and other monuments.

Choose to climb Giotto's bell tower, one of the four principal monuments on the Piazza del Duomo, at your own pace. Decked out in white, pink, and green marble like the cathedral next to it, this majestic square bell tower is considered to be the most beautiful campanile in Italy. In fact, it was probably designed more for decorative than for functional purposes. Your tickets allow you to access the Bell Tower for 72 hours.

• The Cathedral of Florence is an “operating” church that can be closed to visitors for any liturgical reason, even without warning (for the funeral of a Cardinal, for example)
• Consider leaving a buffer before your next tour as the Cupola climb may take longer than expected
• Please be aware that the off season is an opportunity for restoration work, often unannounced.
• Visitors are advised that the Baptistery is undergoing restoration of the mosaics of the vault. We apologize for the inconvenience.
• Entry to the Cathedral is not guaranteed as the Cathedral is a working church and hours can change without notice due to liturgical or other reasons. Our guides make every effort to enter the Cathedral with guests.
• Please note that backpacks of any size or dimension, and any bag designed to be worn on the back, are not allowed.
• Florence can be very warm in the summer. Please be advised that this tour includes portions that are outside and could be in the full sun. Please bring a hat, small umbrella, or sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun.
• Clients must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
• Tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes.
• Please be advised that it is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.
• There are 463 steps to climb the dome at the end of the tour (and no elevator).

Amazing experience! Guide (Sarah) did an awesome job providing the history of the Duomo. For those wondering…the hike up is a bit strenuous and if you are claustrophobic just be mindful it is a tight space for 90% of the climb. Payoff is still amazing.

Very disappointing tour! The tour guide Anastasia was fantastic with her knowledge and history, however, she received tickets for 4/10 instead of 5/10. She tried to rectify, but we had. A 35 minute wait to get the new tickets to get into the Baptistry, then only toured the museum for 25 minutes-and never made it to the second floor. After waiting 45 minutes, we finally climbed the steps to the dome and our guide had to leave us for another tour. We never got to see or hear the history of the cathedral and were told we had to stand in the long public line to access the cathedral since our tickets were gone! Our tour was supposed to end at 2:00 and at this point it was 3:30 so we had to get something to eat. This tour company should refund our money since we only had 1/2 a tour! We were only in Florence for 2 days and this was our main tour.

Beautiful city! Plan your visit to the Academy in advance so you can see Michelangelo's David. Same with the Duomo!

Excellent tour! Eliana(sp?) was really terrific as a guide. She was so well prepared and knowledgeable. The only problem was the audio, which was static sometimes to the point of incoherence. Highly recommended.

Very informative tour guide. Climbing to the top of the Duomo was a highlight. We took the tour on a holiday and it was very busy. The earphones only had one bud and it was hard to hear our tour guide. Her equipment was also faulty crating a lot of static. Overall, I would highly recommend our guide and this tour!
