We (my boyfriend, mother and I) enjoyed our boat tour of Cinque Terre. If you only have one day planned to visit the Cinque Terre and you are looking for something simple and 'quick', this is a good solution. We were lucky enough to do the tour outside the tourist season, so there was little waiting at the platforms and not too much traffic.
However, you will miss the town of Manarola, which is, for me alone, a must-see in Cinque Terre. Possible option: take the train after stopping at Vernazza, and stop at Manarola for a beautiful sunset.
My only negative point: 1 hour only to visit Riomaggiore and Vernazza is not enough. If you want to go to a 'high' viewpoint to see the city, you have to run back to the boat in time.

The crew was lovely, kind, knowledgeable and welcoming with the travelers. A separate note to mention that they were extremely prompt! The ship was well maintained and clean. The WC was well appreciated! They also provided guide in multiple languages. It was an amazing day because of the crew!

The boat trip and the walks around each village we docked at were most memorable. For us, who were older, the tour guide walked too fast for us to keep up, so we just viewed the villages on our own.

Excellent way to see 3 of the Cinque Terra villages, much better having a set timetable than risking the ferries which made for a stress free and enjoyable trip. I did check the weather before booking in view of some of the negative reviews.
The ship and crew were great, it wasn’t full which added to the enjoyment. Saw a couple celebrating 40th anniversary and crew gave them wine and reserved seating which was a lovely touch.
Instructions were clear and the commentary was significantly better and clearer than other boat trips.

Absolutely loved seeing the towns Monterosso, Vernazza, & Riomaggiore via ferry boat tour. I would have preferred to have a starting point of Monterosso, then you could include Manarola as well. It was quite the trek to take the train to La Spezia first, get a taxi & find the dock. Also unable to find a taxi back to the station after the tour. It was quite a long walk back to the station.

The villages are beautifully alive, have incredible views and a lot of beautiful architecture. The staff is wonderful and the guide is amazing.
