The Felucca ride is ok. The guide really does not know much, though she is very nice and friendly. Felucca ride in Aswan is much more impressive.

Such fun to spend 2 nights tacking down the Nile on this wind powered boat. Comfortable and a different experience.

We purchased this tour as it fitted into our itinerary while on a short stay in Cairo. We went for this option over a dinner cruise as the reviews of food on the dinner cruise weren't great and we wanted to see the skyline from the water while it was still light outside. The word "cruise" is used in the descriptor of this trip but we didn't cruise anywhere - we drifted! Our boat had no motor and wind was low so we were towed out by a motor boat to around 400m from the riverbank and then we literally went around in circles for the hour. We didn't see anything only what was around that specific area. I think this weather is pretty normal for Cairo and we should have been offered a motorboat option rather than this.
Our guide was OK but on pick up he was quite persistent trying to get us to upgrade to a dinner cruise which we had to push back on multiple times. I understand the traditional boats don't have motors, but this trip shouldn't be described as a cruise as it's not a fair descriptor

Our guide Mostafa picked us up very timely in front of our hotel and was very friendly and gave us several dinner options that we chose from and got before getting on the boat. He also took great photos of us and it felt like friends being on a boat. very calm and relaxing experience.. Just what we needed on that day. can definitely recommend.

We were picked up 30 minutes late but the company had notified us beforehand via WhatsApp that they were running late due to traffic. Our tour guide Ahmed was a university student studying languages (English and German) and therefore had a very good command of the English language. We were in our own felucca and enjoyed a lovely peaceful sail while Ahmed described the various sights. The large fountain in the middle of the Nile activated as we sailed by, further adding to our enjoyment.
