We got a special treat being led by the two owners! Byron was very knowledgeable about volcanoes and geology and Hawaiian plants and history! The views of the volcano and and walk through the lava tube was incredible!

This was a great experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of facts with us. The bikes were easy to use and comfortable to ride. The group was small enough that we were able to ride together comfortably without issues with traffic.

Our guide was excellent, Kalven (sp?). He was patient and very knowledgeable about the volcano and the Hawaiian history. He made sure we were all comfortable with the bikes before heading out. Be prepared for rain and sun. You will most likely see both. The rain does not take away from the tour. The bikes are heavy but comfortable to ride once you get used to anticipating the drive motor.

A couple feedbacks 😊 The lava tube is rather dark. Perhaps a small flashlight so none falls? A reminder email about the release form would be helpful! Thank you for a great ride!!

Volcano National Park is a hiking location. There are many hikes through the woods and into the volcano areas. There are no bike trails. If you ride e-bikes on the Fat Tire E-Bike Tour to the park you do not have the opportunity to do any of the hikes. You will be biking on the road in the same lane as the cars. Entry to the park is only $30 per car load of persons and well worth exploring on your own. The bikes are heavy and one size fits all despite representations as to size accommodation. Don’t waste your money on this misleading tour.

This trip was amazing, even in the rain. Taylor was a great guide. Informative and fun. Also gave great restaurant recommendations. Shaka Tacos was fantastic. Highly recommend.
