This cooking class farm to table is hands-on experience. All depending on the season, we will collect what there is available in our farm.
We will show you and explain all the plants and tree we have.
You will learn about old Costa Rican culture & cooking techniques.
The food will be cook in an open wood-fire kitchen.

They were ready and greeted us even though we were early. Kevin took us on a tour through the garden. We got to see little birdies and piglets and we tasted many plants. When it was time to cook we got to make a three piece meal with delicious secret salsa. They let us take leftovers and overall it was very worthwhile

We had a wonderful experience at the farm to table class and highly recommend it!
After a tour of the farm and making and sampling our own sugar cane juice, we made ceviche, empanadas, and patacones with Chef Melania and Werner. The recipes were simple and easy/fun to make, but the food turned out SO GOOD and we definitely plan to make all 3 again at home soon. We also spent time chatting about Costa Rica and the native tribes, and got to practice our Spanish. Note that Spanish is not required to take the class as Werner is there to translate everything. The class was a great value and a lot of fun, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about local food and culture in Costa Rica.

Such a nice experience! Their farm is a small paradise! Warner showed us first around the farm where we had the chance to squeeze sugar cane and drink its sweet juice. Fermented sugar cane juice was also a really appreciated treat from Warner! Then we cooked along with the sweetest chef Melania! Ceviche, Empanadas and patacones! They were amazing! Thank you both for the nice evening! Definitely recommended! 😊

Had a blast! Warner and Melania were really friendly and kind! Warner showed us the farm and translated when needed while Melania was the chef who teached us how to cook! Definitely worth it, totally recommend it!

Absolutely loved this. We had the amazing Melony (not sure if that is how you spell the name) who was very welcoming. We learned how to make and cook empanadas and so much more.
Everything from learning about plants to trying locally grown Costa Rican foods. One of my favorite thing I have done in La Fortuna so far. Definitely give it a try :)

Such an intimate and lowkey activity. The guides were very knowledgeable and easygoing. Loved the mini garden tour and getting to learn about all the crops. The cooking class was simple and fun and the food was delicious!

Such a great experience from start to finish. Stephen (Esteban) was awesome. We cooked ceviche and chicken empanadas along with our two young children. Delicious food and great fun - highly recommend!

My husband booked this fairly last minute / by chance and we are really glad we did. The class is held in the restaurant behind the tour company office and there is a small farm (garden) behind where they grow some of the produce. Before we started cooking our guide/translator took us on a whistle stop tour of the farm and we got to press some sugar cane and try some moonshine. The cookery class was really good fun and the chef was great. We made ceviche using her special recipe accompanied by patacones (plantain) followed by empanadas. Whilst ours definitely didn't look the prettiest, I think more practice may be needed, they tasted delicious. There was certainly plenty of food and we left feeling stuffed. Would recommend and the chef and the guide were great .
