Awesome experience, both guides were very knowledgeable, especially+ the man who did the Basilica tour. He taught us so much more than the other tour we did a few days earlier. You could tell he was a well educated man. I sked him and he did have his Masters degree, which was no surprise. He was a great guy as well took us out to the street where we could catch a cab and gave us walking directions to meet up with our group!

I want to thank Manola for being our guide. She was awesome, had a wealth of knowledge and did a great time with our group. We appreciated the tour of the colosseum and additional sites with our tour. I highly recommend signing up for a tour and gaining extra knowledge that you otherwise would not be aware of. Overall a great experience and a fun time,

Especially liked Palatine Hill. Book early if you want the underground area tour add on, tried to get it 3 weeks in advance but it was already full

Don’t use the tour company. They were nothing but a hassle to use once we bought our tickets. Tour time got changed last minute. Then the tour started late and the tour guide was rude and unfriendly.

Our tour was suppose to be with the underground portion as well. That part was cut from the tour a couple weeks before and communicated clearly by the tour company. We were told we would be getting a 35% refund due to the underground portion not being apart of the tour. 2 weeks later and we still haven’t heard or received a refund back.
Other than that the colosseum was amazing

Decently organized tour in a crowded, chaotic place. Check the meeting point details before you arrive. Group tours tend to meet near the metro stop. Avoid anyone offering assistance unless they are with your booked tour company.
Your guide will have some scarf or something on a pole so keep your eye on it. We lost like 6 people at points throughout the tour so keep up. They caught up to us eventually. I don't recommend parting from your group for bathrom breaks, extra photos, or to take the elevator between levels instead of the stairs. There is one elevator only and it is near the entrance. So if you go up, you'll have to walk the length again to leave.
It was a long wait in line but much faster than those with standard passes. The tour information itself was fine but the real benefit was getting inside quickly. We explored the floor level and walked through the to the top. A very cool structure.
The tour also included a trip to the nearby Palantine Hill and Roman Forum. It ended abruptly with us still at Palantine but it's easy enough to find your own way out.

As a child, my mother was a teacher and spent years teaching about Ancient Rome. And because of this, I had learned about it and was so excited for this your.
Our guide started off our tour with an Indiana Jones joke and I knew I was with the right tour.
It was fantastic. I was blown away by the knowledge of our guide and by the visuals. We could not have asked for a better person to share these stories with us.
