Whilst it’s a very difficult hike the view of the lake is definitely worth it! You can take a horse half way up but on the way back down you have to hike for 1 and a half hours with a special stick provided.
For lunch and breakfast you stop at a local quaint restaurant 1 hour away from the lake Humantay where you get to taste local dishes prepared with love.
If you ever in Peru lake Humantay is a must to visit!

The tour starts suuuuuper early. But it is absolutely worth it. The tour begins with a 2 hours ride to the restaurant, where you get a very delicious breakfast and can enjoy a beautiful view. After the breakfast it’s another 50 minutes ride to the starting point of the Hike. The hike is around 4 km to the Humantay Lake. I recommend good shoes 🥾. The last part of the hike is a bit challenging because it's going uphill. There is also the option to rent horses. After you have reached the Lake, the exhausting uphill walk is completely forgotten, I promise. It was an amazing experience. Thanks to the Guide and the driver 🙌🏻

Heber was the best tour guide, he was super friendly and smiley, it makes all the difference! We had breakfast and lunch with the tour, it was amazing! There were many vegetarian options too! And Humantay lake was breathtaking, no words to express!!! 200% recommended!

Wow! This trip was well worth waking up at 4am for! We had an amazing time and it couldn’t have been made possible without our amazing guide, Heber Forever, and our skilled driver Arnold. Humantay Lake is just as beautiful in person, and I can’t stress that enough. Heber provided us with blankets, breakfast, an extensive lunch buffet, and most importantly the best energy! Our whole experience from start to finish was 10/10, I highly recommend!

We was not that lucky with the weather.
But all the organization was amazing the pick up, the stop for breakfast and lunch and of course the best guide Wally aways positive 🙏🏼

This trip is incredibly good value for money. The views are out of this world with towering peaks and hanging glaciers. Transport and food were brilliant but the star of the show was our guide Wally! A wonderfully patient and positive person very proud of his heritage and country. It was a pleasure we'll never forget.

Positive experience from the moment we stepped into the van. The meals were satisfying (especially lunch) and Marcial made the whole experience even better. I can see why this is a 5 star experience. Don’t think. Just book it.

I booked the tour an evening earlier as we were stuck in Cusco and couldn’t go to Machu Pichu due to cancellation of transportation, they were accommodating and took us last minute, Marshall our guide took care of the slow hikers too like me and took breaks in between and waited for us to catch up, Humantay lake was a bit of walk so appreciate all his support, tour included a light breakfast and lunch and there was enough options for our Vegetarian family
