This was an excellent experience! Nice bus ride with a very good tour guide. Made the 70 kilometre trip faster with visiting museums and an old church providing rest stops if needed. The horse back riding was safe , not too long and fun. There was a quick lunch provided immediately upon arrival. The best espanadas ever. Later we were dined out in the huge veranda of the main house. We were served entrees of Chicken, Pork, Beef and Lamb. For the brave at heart there was blood sausage and intestines . The service was top notch. The owner mingled with the guests and made sure all was well . This ranch boasts 90 horses and over 300 cattle , never mind sheep and pigs . All dogs are rescued ! All animals very very well looked after . Small entertaining show at the end . A gaucho did some really wild things with his horse.

The visit to San Antonio de Areco was very pleasant; the food at El Ombu was very good (they cater to vegetarians!); the horse ride was lots of fun; the folkloric music and dance added to the wonderful day trip from Buenos Aires.

Fun experience at El Ombu Estancia. Easy drive from Buenos Aires. Personal greeting on arrival and showed to our accommodations, which were very nice. Spacious two qn size beds with real wood fireplace, which they start for you. We spent one night. After settling in, we had delicious empanadas and adult beverages of choice sitting outside under the trees, smelling the delicious lamb which was roasting on the outdoor fire pit. Lunch was served outside at 1:30, many rounds of meat with wine and sides. After a gaucho show with music and dancing, we rode horses, read on the front porch and enjoyed another delicious dinner at 7:30 in the dining room. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating to guests various schedules and needs. I highly recommend this activity. We were told in Buenos Aires by several folks that El Ombu was the best. We agree and enjoyed every minute.

The whole experience was very well done, from getting picked up by our driver, to the bus ride to San Antonio de Areco, to the activities at el Ombu. Nico was a great tour guide with a wide range of knowledge in Argentine history. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

Beautiful trip from beginning to end. The pick up at the hotel was punctual. The guide, Aime was wonderful and very well prepared. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The Estancia is like paradise. Beautiful place. Gorgeous, well taken care of horses. The people that work in the Ombu were all very nice and accommodating. The food was awesome and plentiful. The music show and horse show were very entertaining and relaxing. Enjoy!

We had a gaucho tour in San Antonio de Areco. It was a wonderful experience with riding horses, eating a lot of meat and watching some folk performances (we even get to dance). Our guide Miriam was so helpful and knowledgeable. She made sure everything is arranged well. Our driver Daniel need to wait for us because we transfered into 4x4 vehicles going to the estancia because the heavy raines the past days made the road muddy. A little pricey for 150€ without tips but the experience is definitely worth recommending.

Great food and drink in a beautiful setting. Staff at the ranch were friendly and helpful. The children loved the horse riding and even the most nervous rider managed a trot across the pampas! Our guide was knowledgeable and professional with excellent English. A great day out!

I had my guide twice this week & she was AWESOME, OUTSTANDING & SO KNOWLEDGABLE. She was also very empathetic to the groups’ needs on both trips. Really enjoyed getting outside of Buenos Aires to see the countryside & learn more about Argentina!

It was a nice ride out to the ranch with a few stops of interest along the way. The real treat is the ranch itself! The most beautiful setting with fields as far as you can see. Thousands of parakeets singing from the trees and a wonderful setting for lunch and a horseback ride. Take this tour and you will not be disappointed.

The only exception to the excellence of the day was the alleged "horse whisperer". Our guide, Miriam, was fabulous. The little gaucho museum was nice. The estancia was way more fun than I thought it might be. The house riding was actually fun, the food and drinks including wine was plentiful and very good. The dancing and music was great. I was unimpressed with the horse guy and his "tricks". It's just not that big of a deal to pick up a horse's feet or to push it into laying down.
