Our Tour guide will meet you at Kusadasi Port or the lobby of Listed hotels with your name sign at pre-arranged time . Pick up time will be given during your confirmation. Kusadasi Cruise Terminal pick up time normally 30 to 45 minutes after your cruise arrival
2. Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)
Our first stop is the House of Virgin Mary. The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council on 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared there as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there
3. Ancient City of Ephesus
Our second stop is Ephesus Ancient City. We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.
4. Ephesus Terrace Houses
Terrace Houses is included in 2 ( Private with Terrace Houses and with Small group with Terrace Houses ) Options only. Not included in other 2 without Terrace Houses options Terrace Houses is located on skirt of Pion Mountain. There are 6 residential units which were built on three man-made terraces. These houses were settled by wealty citizens of Ephesus. These houses were very fancy decorated with wall frescoes and floor mosaics. There are many steps to ascend from bottom to top. Attention Not recommended for people who has walking difficulties and acro-phobia (fear of heights).
5. The Temple of Artemis
Our last stop is The Temple of Artemis where used to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world as our last stop before drive back to Kusadasi town center and port
6. Kusadasi Gazi Begendi Park
Drive to Kusadasi Port and Kusadasi town center through Gazi Beğendi Park

It was an amazing tour where Tez picked us up from the airport and we started the tour. Tez was very knowledgeable about the places and culture of the tour and provided an amazing experience. The service was great and very flexible with professional manner. At the end of the tour we got dropped at our desired destination which was super convenient.

I am delighted to provide my highest endorsement of Curio Travel and our guide, Ozge. I went on a Mini Group Tour to the House of Virgin Mary, Ephesus, and the Artemis Temple. Since it was the end of the season (mid-November), there were only three of us. We had an incredible day.

It felt like a custom, private tour. Ozge laid out the day but she offered to move things around to suit our preferences. At Ephesus, there was a separate area that required another ticket. Even though it wasn’t included in our tour, she gave us the option to go, which we declined.

Ozge knew the sites well and provided detailed background. She connected the dots between the sites and gave commentary that showed her understanding of history, mythology, religious import, and the significance of this part of the world.

At each location, we were also given time to explore on our own.

She was patient and gracious and answered every question. We encountered some very rude tour guides and equally rude tourists who were loud, railroaded our small group, and acted as if we weren’t there. Ozge handled the situations with grace, asserting our space and standing up for us.

When she saw I didn’t have an umbrella, she offered me hers.

Since we were a curious group, our tour lasted longer than expected. We never felt rushed, even when we were buying souvenirs.

We had lovely conversations in our small van. What a gift she gave us! We felt like very welcome and appreciated visitors. I felt an open-hearted thread between our countries. I could tell that Ozge is very proud of and loves her Turkey. It made me want to return for a longer visit (and I will contact her!).

I also want to thank Fevzi who owns this tour company. She helped me resolve an issue that I had (unrelated to the tourist sites).

The best part of this tour was our guide, Emre. He's one of the best tour guides I've had. Not only is he very knowledgeable about the subject matter, but he presents it in a way that makes you want to know more. There were even a few times when I thought of a question, but before I could ask it, Emre answered it. I wish he could be our tour guide everywhere!

Amazing tour with our guide Emrie!!! He was so knowledgeable and provided an in depth and enjoyable personal experience way better than the large group tours that were all around us. Where possible he moved us away from large crowds all the while ensuring we didn’t miss a thing. I highly recommend the inclusion of the terrace houses as was extraordinary. Our driver and transportation was top notch. We had no problem meeting up with Emrie from our cruise ship. One of the best tours I have ever experienced and highly recommend as the best alternative for an Ephesus tour. It was well worth the price!!!

Great day! Yavuz was a wonderful guide, very prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. We didn't feel rushed at all, even though we went over the time limit a bit. The sites were well worth visiting and also made stops at a pottery and a rug making store. Interesting.
