Fantastic. Highly recommend. In fact, do not miss! The sculptures of wood and marble are particularly phenomenal. Go early and take your time. :)

Book the first ticket of the day. We had no trouble seeing The Kiss. There were only a few other people in the room with us and then we could go at our own pace through the rest of the gallery. It’s a nice walk downhill to the Lower Belvedere afterward.

Didn’t deliver tickets in time for specific entry time, so had to buy new tickets at ticket counter for assigned entry time or couldn’t get in. Did not use tickets that I paid for on TripAdvisor. The customer service is terrible and still waiting for a refund!!!

Beautiful collection for this museum focused mainly on Klimt.
The price is on the other hand expensive even if it was included via our flexi pass.
The park between the two belvederes is pretty but nothing more, that of Schonbrun is much more beautiful.
We had planned to do the lower belvedere but gave it up not wanting to do yet another museum in Vienna.

It was exciting to wander around Klimt's paintings... the kiss was exciting but also other sculptures and paintings like Monet and van Gogh... I was also thrilled by the immense manicured gardens with various sculptures at every point

I pre booked a ticket for a Friday morning at 9.30am though I actually arrived 15 mins early and was allowed in. Another world class building and museum and I spend 3 plus hours here. I enjoyed the Renaissance section on the ground floor but the highlight is the first floor with the Baroque art and then all that Klimt to enjoy. The first floor also included the massive Marmorsaal room with its wonderful frescoed ceiling. I just had a quick walk through of the art on the second floor. The crowds were very manageable for my visit but it was much busier when I was leaving than when I arrived.

Off course I can’t forget the gardens. It was raining during my visit but I came back another time to enjoy them. Finally I only visited Upper Belvedere, I didn’t have time for Lower or Belvedere 21.

The Upper Belvedere has three things going for it.
1. The building itself is stunning in every room
2. The art and sculpture was a surprise and really wonderful
3. It setting and gardens
I'm really glad we went on the spur of the moment to see it while in Vienna. I'm not really a fan of Klimt as an artist but was pleasantly surprised by some of his works and there are also some other famous artists on display like Monet and Rodin. Loved it.
