As per the regulations of the Eiffel Tower, if you have upgraded your tour to access the summit, you are required to proceed directly to the summit upon reaching the second floor. Once you have visited the top, you are free to explore the first and second floors on your descent.
If the summit closes at the discretion of Eiffel staff at the time you receive your ticket, you will receive access to the second floor and a partial refund.
Please note this is NOT a skip the line tour and sometimes wait periods with your guide can be 90 minutes or more depending on the crowd restrictions, COVID security measures and construction at the Eiffel Tower.

ANA was the best Tour Guide that I ever met. She’s patiently and responsibly told the history of Eiffel Tower and anecdote. At the end of the tour, she’s gonna make sure that everyone that remember the stories she told in the way of questioning

We booked our tickets for a guided climb as all standard Eiffel Tower tickets were already booked out. We booked the guided tour & summit & after doing the guided tour to the 2nd floor we were actually really glad we did as learnt a lot about the Eiffel Tower we wouldn’t have known! Unfortunately the summit was closed on the day we went but this was out of their hands, there was the option to change to another day but we only had one day left so kept to it & received a discount for the summit.
Lekshmi was our tour guide & was very friendly & knowledgeable & kept checking in& asking if we were ok & let us know fabulous tips & tricks for surviving Paris as a tourist!
Recommend doing this tour even if you’ve been here before! Ps the line for the walking tour can also be shorter than the straight summit to the top - another bonus we learnt! Thank you!

Natalia was a very informative guide. If i had gone with a ticket of my own i never would have heard all about the Eiffel tower. Well worth going with someone who knows about the history & building of the tower

I feel that the guides should accompany the people going to the top up onto the upper level of the second floor to show the way to access the elevator. It’s crowded and confusing and there is poor signage. Guides should guide.
