Iconic and “must see” but too Disneylandish with crowds, gift shop focus, and little on site brewing or distilling explanation (especially Guiness). Really more marketing than educational…

We really enjoyed the Jameson portion but found the Guinness part a little over the top. No fault of the tour guide but it was a long walk in inclement weather. And the theatrics of the Guinness experience a bit too much.

Great day out. The tour guide Declan was brilliant at talking about the history of Dublin before we started the tours.
The distillery visit was better than the Guinness visit, as the guide at the distillery visit was amazing (Lisa) who was great at taking us through the history of Jamesons whiskey and all the sampling!
Guinness trip was good, but so busy. The guides inside were ok, but i'd suggest getting there earlier in the day as it was a Sunday afternoon when we got inside and it was hard to hear them talking.
Declan then took us upto the 7th floor for our pint, which was fab 🍻

The Jameson part was great, but the walking tour, was at an Olympic speed walker pase. Stopped a few places to learn about a few interesting things, but just hustled on to get to the Guinness stop, then rushed through it. All in all I'd say this tour is overpriced, and not thought out logistically.

We had a lovely guide, and started our tour at the Jameson distillery. The staff were professional, interesting and the tour well presented. We then meandered through Dublin learning some interesting history to the Guinness Storehouse. Unfortunately, because of the volume of people in this venue, it is noisy, and very difficult to navigate.

Jameson was like a wine tour, except about whiskey. Max was excellent. Knowledgeable, interesting and funny. We learned about the history of Jameson and tasted three types of whiskey. We also received a “welcome” cocktail before we began the tour. All in all, a well done, professional tour. Guinness was different. The place was larger and more crowded. The experience was really geared toward self learning. Our guide, Moira, gave us more of the education about Guinness than the place itself. But it was fun there and views terrific from top floor. Moira really made this tour an excellent day. Throughout, she provided us with the history of Dublin and was very funny as well. She was fantastic. She is the perfect guide!

Great tour, great guide. Even if you’re not a big whiskey or Guinness fan, this tour is a Dublin must as it highlights much of Dublin’s complex history in regard to both beverages, for lack of a better word. Alan was an excellent guide and was very good at keeping track of everyone, which ain’t easy. Money well spent.
