When friends ask us for 1 or 2 highlights regarding our recent trip to Ireland and Scotland, the first response is "Brendan Murphy as a tour guide."

The first few hours of day #1, Brendan asked several questions, discerning our personal preferences, likes, dislikes, interests, background knowledge, etc. Per our feedback, he tweaked the tour daily, catering it to the four of us. He did not just revise it for us as a group; he revised it based on the interests of each individual in the group, so that every day, each individual had a few "bonus sites" based on individual preferences. Because of Brendan, we saw everything on the itinerary, plus bonus sites that he added along the way.

Second, Brendan was extremely flexible. If we said that we wanted to skip a town and spend more time at the next site, he did that. If we wanted to skip lunch or add a snack stop or try a specific "Irish speciality," he accommodated us. He also edited our days, based on crowds, other buses, and weather to maximize our trip.

Third, Brendan balanced warmth and professionalism. He was warm and caring, but did not try to become a BFF. Each day was efficiently spent, yet we never felt hurried or rushed. He gave interesting context and history throughout the tour, without becoming pedantic, arrogant, or excessive. Brendan answered our questions thoroughly yet concisely and noted when he did not know an answer. At the end of each day, he went inside each lodging and confirmed that everything was accurate before leaving; not once did he "leave us at the door."

In short, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Ireland, and Brendan was the key.

Ritchie/Ritchey the driver was awesome. Lots of historical knowledge and funny anecdotes on day to day life in Dublin.
We had fun at Dublin Castle and then Caught Ritchie's bus again later in the day and finished the tour.

Its only good if you want to just do a tour of the city. If you hop off the bus and spend time where you want to visit there is no bus going back to where you started. It only goes forward. We had to walk back over two miles toward the end of the day due to this fault of the tour. They should have buses on the opposite side of the road going back the other way. Be careful. The drivers are great and funny.

We love a hop on hop off bus and if you get a witty and funny bus guide/driver it makes the whole experience worthwhile. Having been on these buses with a pre recorded guide ending up in a description of a place we have passed about a minute ago (which was actually hilarious) I appreciate a ‘live’ guide who gives their witty perspective of a city they know well. I didn’t catch our guide’s name but he knew his stuff and was brilliant and funny. The tour was about 1.45 hours and we had lovely sunny weather so the open top bus was welcome. You also get free and discounted stuff with the map so another bonus.

Hop on Dublin . Best way to see Dublin. You don't want to Drive in the city, enjoy all the stops with short walks. If you can get tickets, go to Kilmainum Gaol.

our first Tour operator was amazing, second one was ok.
The frequency of the bus schedule was not on time, long wait.
Still the best wait to tour Dublin for the first time.
