The Hop-On/Hop-Off is a great way to get an overview of the city when on a limited time schedule. The driver was very entertaining and funny! We happened to have this tour on a bank holiday in Scotland, and the train into Dublin was not running that day due to a scheduled maintenance. But, the Hop-On/Hop-off buses were at the dock instead to take us into town and begin our tour of the city. The driver was very specific on communicating when and where to catch the bus to take us directly back to the pier for the ship.

The guides on shore were clear and helpful on directing us to the train station.
Upon one arrival in Dublin we easily found the HOHO bus. We enjoyed the tour and commentary.

Beautiful drive, humorous driver. On time . Good route to see lots of good sites. Thanks for coming to the dock to pick up passengers due to changes of public transportation ( train did work on that day)

The Hop On Hop Off is really the easiest and most efficient way to get around all of the sites of Dublin. We went Kilmainham Gaol and the Guinness tour off the same bus

We Hop On on Friday morning and we did the whole tour. The driver was very very friendly and the tour was very nice, explaining everything. The bus was very good. Overall we had a great time. We had the 48 hour ticket so the next day we visited lots of places and the bus was always on time.

Excellent from start to finish. Collected at dock in Dun Laoghaire as trains start later on Sundays. This saved time and we had the same bus to begin the drive round. Excellent driver, Richie, who gave a live commentary which was really good, including advice on last timings for comfortable train return to Dun Laoghaire. Train journey easy.

We were able to get on the bus but after we got off we never could find one again and when we did it was at capacity’.
I would not book this again. We then had to Uber it so we wouldn’t miss our ship

Easy to access . The staff from beginning to end were fantastic the information and directions got were accurate and helpful.
Ritchie and Damon(?) were fun and informative .

We had already decided on the combined train + hop-on hop-off bus ticket before our cruise. Buying the ticket directly at the port exit was quick and easy. We were in Dublin by train shortly afterwards. Unfortunately, the problems started at Pears Station. We had been told that the bus stop was opposite the exit from Pears Station. Unfortunately, no one said which of the 4 or 5 exits they meant. So we had to look... A friendly Dubliner then told us where we had to go. Unfortunately, when we got there, the bus had just started driving. So we had to wait. When the next bus finally arrived after more than half an hour and we were sitting on it, the earphones didn't work. Instead, there was only live commentary in mumbled Irish English that was almost incomprehensible to non-Irish people. The driver just said that if you wanted a multilingual tour, you should get off at the next station and take the next bus. Sure, we had to wait another half hour... So we stayed on the bus and tried to understand some of the explanations without much success... Conclusion: today we unfortunately experienced the worst HopOnHopOff tour of many we have done so far. What a shame about the 30 euros per person.
