WHAT TO EXPECT

Pick Up Listen to miraculous humble beginnings of the land of dreams, Dubai, from our friendly safari captains who shall pick you up and keep you entertained for the 60 minutes’ drive in a 4x4 Vehicle across the deserts. Quad Bike Ride (Optional) Welcome to your first stop. Take your time here to relax and prepare yourself for the adventures ahead. The place provides good facilities for fresh-ups and if interested, you may avail the Quad Bike Ride option to zeal up your desert experience. Dune Bashing Pump up your excitement as you bash into the golden dunes of the Lahbab desert and be ready to kick up the dust as you go sand surfing here.

Feel like royalty as you enter the Al-Khyama camp where you shall be greeted with the traditional Qahwa (Arabic Coffee), Gaymat (Exotic sweets), Dates and unlimited soft drinks. The camel ride and posing with the falcon after the falconry session is a sure catch on this trip. Get dressed up in the ethnic Arabian clothes-kandura (men’s clothing), and abaya (Women’s clothing) and spend the evening as an Arab smoking shisha and having an Arabian Makeover with henna painting. Camp Entertainments This attraction guarantees a feast to your eyes and tummies. Open up to a night of entertainment beginning with the traditional Tanoura and Khaliji dance with a simultaneous 5-star open buffet, BBQ and other local desserts. Star Gazing Session Learn all about how the stars guided the Bedouins in the past from the age-old Arabian tales and through a mesmerizing star-gazing session with a telescope.

ADDITIONAL INFO

• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
• It is highly recommended that, you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.
• All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box
• Entertainment activities:- During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch Tanoura and Fire shows only in our desert camps (Al Khayma) as there will be some restrictions for Ladies Khaliji Dance. Other religious holidays as per UAE law i.e. 3rd April, 10 & 31st Aug, 9th Nov etc there will not be any entertainment activities in the camps as its strictly not permitted by UAE law.
• Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter
• OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury. It is advisable that the traveler should avail a travel health insurance as there can be chances of potential risks and hazards. Also, make sure they are mentally and physically able to participate.
• Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.
• Pickup will be within 45min prior your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time
• Kindly share your Whatsapp number for an easy communication during the pickup
• We recommend you have international travel insurance as self-driving activities are prone to risk, leading to serious injury & is covered only by your insurance companies.
• Quad biking is a self-driving activity to be taken at your own risk and the company’s insurance does not cover it.
• The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing since it's during the day timing
• Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.
• By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity by car. (If these conditions apply to you, you can wait at the meeting point until others complete the adventure activities.)

This desert excursion exceeded my expectations! Our driver from OceanAir pricked us up at our hotel. Sajith was prompt, spoke English very well, and was knowledgeable, entertaining, and most importanly... an excellent driver. The red dunes were amazing and the dune bashing and sandboarding were so much fun. We did not partake in the ATV portion but enjoyed shopping at the OceanAir base. After the fun on the sand dunes, we arrived at the Al Khayma Camp. We enjoyed the camel riding and feeding. The camp was beautiful and full of activities (stargazing, henna, arabian attire, coffee/tea, shiska, falcon encounters, and dancing). The food was amazing (definitely 5 *) and varied and we did not leave hungry. We met some aweosme peope and we really enjoyed our time at the camp. The ride back to the hotel was great too as Sajith kept us entertained and educated. I would highly recommend this tour group and camp to anyone wanting to have an Arabian experience while in Dubai.

Such a great time! We were picked up promptly and driven to the Red Dunes where we had a blast driving in the dunes. Afterwards we went to the camp where we rode camels and fed baby camels, then BBQ dinner and dancing and fire shows. The camp was very nice, food was excellent and plentiful. Cold sodas and water awaited us. Our drive back was comfortable and prompt. But our tour guide I’m was above our expectations. His English was superb and he was extremely knowledgeable answering all of our questions. We felt like we were in good hands and taken very well care of during our trip. Highly recommend this tour. We’re all 65+ and it was a blast!

Everything was amazing , my family came to visit me in Dubai so I definitely booked for them a tour in the Dubai desert and we had a great time. They loved it. I highly recommend you this tour , the bikes are not included but everything else is you can always pay extra if you want a bike ride. I want to thanks Aku for his great personality and his help he made this day even more special!!

I do not recommend this tour. If you don’t buy the Quad bike or ATV option you must sit and wait for the others to finish. I waited almost 2 hours and was harassed by vendors the entire time to buy something. My dune bashing was cut short due to a blown out tire. Again we just sat and waited while this was fixed but I couldn’t even enjoy after because I was concerned for my safety. After that everything was rushed. Our guide Arif was impatient and rude from that point on. I think he was hungry due to his fasting. We had about 4 minutes for the sunset camel ride. The camp site was just okay and the food was average. The henna ladies had an attitude, the hookah was okay and the shows were lame. Save your money.

Our driver, Imaan gave us a thrill on the red dune. He showed us some daring turns but was careful to avoid any injuries. We had fun.

We loved our desert experience! Ocean Travel were so flexible with our pick up and Shihab was such a great guide who made sure we didn’t miss out on a single element. We felt like we really had a private, VIP experience because we didn’t have to wait around for anyone else and got to do everything for as long or as short as we wished. Really impressed with how chic the camp was and the food was delicious. Incredible value for money. Thank you!

This was my first trip to Dubai and I picked the premium tour which included the dune dashing, desert safari off road ride, camel ride and more…I must say these are the experiences of the lifetime. Simply amazing…Special thank you to our guide Tahseen, who managed our small group just great, not mentioning the breathtaking desert ride. Just as I said would do this again in a heartbeat!! Thanks

Our trip was amazing, complete with exciting dune bashing and peaceful shisha. Shams, our guide, was fantastic at 4WDing the desert dunes and made sure everyone was comfortable all the while sharing interesting tidbits about the area’s history and culture.

The dinner was a highlight, with a delicious 5-star BBQ buffet that included everything from freshly made roti to a variety of sweets and drinks. Recommend the roti fresh off the grill.
