This tour is a disorganized mess. If people think it is a small group tour you are sadly mistaken. The group consists of about 5000 people at the camp. So imagine the chaos and long lines to get food, camel rides, henna paintings, etc. Our tour guide Adnan was not friendly, could not communicate well in English and was rude at times. The quad bike was good but family members cannot share and only 2 people are allowed per bike. Not at all clear during the time of booking. Food was sub-par and long lines made it a bad experience. We could not do any of the activities due to the lines and dune bashing was about 7-8 mins in a car. I would not recommend this tour at all. Waste of a day.

Stay away from this tour group!! We booked this because of the Viator/Trip Advisor badge of approval (I think this company pays to get negative reviews removed), and it was such a scam. We had heard great things about the Desert Safari experience from many people, and I'm sure it's great if you go with the right group. Our guide picked us up from the hotel about 30 min after the scheduled time, and then drove super aggressively in order to make up the time. My family was in the car, and another family with a baby, yet, this driver was doing 40-50 km over the speed limit. He was cursing at other 4x4 drivers from other groups heading to the ATV and camp ground.

They claim this is an Emerati experience, yet the entire thing is run by Pakistanis (which I have nothing against) - from the grocery store that you stop by to use the bathroom, to the ATV to the camp site - the whole thing is one big operation. The first stop is a grocery store, I purchased 3 soft drinks and a bag of chips and they charged me 105 Dhirams, which I thought was crazy, but the driver was like no, these are fair prices. There aren't prices written on anything so you can't tell how much things are. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and it's just a tourist trap.

The second stop is the ATV park. There were hundreds of SUVs trying to get into the one we stopped at. They have aggressive people trying to sell you things, and make you take pictures with falcons. The ATVs weren't included in our tour, but my kids wanted to do it, so we did. Again, no prices anywhere, the driver said 250 AED and he went to get the tickets. I paid after the ATV ride (which was fun), but as soon as I gave my credit card, my tour driver started speaking to the guys in Urdu and he told me to go back to the car - obviously he was collecting his commission.

After that, you take a 15 min drive to the dune bashing. Again, super crowded and nearly impossible for cars to get in and out. Took a long time for us to get to where the dune bashing started, so our driver let us off and then went to find parking. We were just standing there for a while till he got back. No organization at the Dune bashing either. Our driver went to the front and started talking to the organizers and just grabbed a 4x4 for us, pushing another group out of the way. They claim its a 20+ min experience, it took us 5 min to get to the camp, and that was the end of it.

When the drop you to the camp, the driver/guide isn't with you, so you are clueless as to what to do, as they are walking from the parking lot. We took some pictures of the dunes and the sunset. We were supposed to have sand boarding, but no clue what happened to that. We were supposed to get a camel ride, but there was a line of over 200 people waiting for a couple camels, and we would have missed the show. Once you get to the camp, it's such a mess. One thing I would recommend is doing the VIP package if you end up going with this tour group, because you have a separate section and actually get to eat properly. The camp site has a bunch of stalls selling things. They opened the "snacks" when you first get in, which is some cold Indian pakoras served with a guy with no gloves. There's a huge line for this also. The bathrooms in the camp were worse than the grocery store ones and smelled horrible. The food doesn't open till after the second show. The first was a belly dancer and the second was another dance. Then dinner opens, but all the guides tell their clients this, so the buffet line is super long. They split up men and women for this. They claim it's a BBQ buffet, but after you get the food from the first buffet, you wait in another line for the meat. Everything is super unhygienic, there was almost a fist fight at the buffet when we were waiting between one of the guest and one of the workers. Everyone working there is super rude. The food was basically inedible, except for the 2 pieces of meat that they give you (served with their hands) which was pretty good. Stay away from this company! I'm shocked that Trip Advisor/ Viator gave them a stamp of approval, because obviously nobody from the company has ever gone on this tour.

Terrible sorry! It was complete madness we was expecting an intimate evening. It was like a taxi drivers party night out hundreds of people packed like sardines. I waited for 45 mins for a camel ride with my daughter which lasted 120 seconds. Food queue was an hour long all waiting patiently for fried chicken which we did not bother with. ?? We didn’t wait for the show we was with another party of 2 people who were there on a honeymoon bless them they were devastated. Took 4 hours to get there and back. Don’t bother wasting your time. Wasted evening of a fantastic holiday so far. The only saving grace was chatting to our lovely driver Adeel hard worker and top lod

Despite advertised as 30 mins quad tickets were for 20 mins and area was very busy. Camp was very disappointing and overcrowded. You have to pay for everything except soft drinks. Queues for food were outrageous.

The tour was too busy, with only a queue for everything and people jumping queues. Dune bashing was very shortlived, lasting only 3 minutes. We left the camel riding queue and it was over an hour long wait for a 10 minute ride going not very far. The queue for the bbq was crazy and uncivilised, with bland food.

Only positive was the entertainment, which involved belly dancing, fire show, and other ethnic dancing, however people keep walking in front eventhough the guides tell people to stay seated. They say 10 shows, there was only 3.

Apart from the driver who was very helpful, this experience was terrible and not worth the price. First, it was not a luxury 4x4 that picked us, it was a van. We get to the destination where all the activities lined up in the itinerary were meant to take place, and we only did the dune bashing, which did not take the 20mins as claimed on the itinerary. We barely did 7mins. We did not get to do any of the activities claimed in the itinerary and there was no explanation for that situation ..we also did not have a tour guide, it was just the driver who tried to salvage the situation. The dinner experience was a proper nightmare.queuing and food being shoved at us like we were in a camp. Thankfully my friends and i tried to make the best of it the experience but i will be very careful to book this tour(if you can call it that) especially if you cannot stand being disappointed.

This is not an organized well at all, and its written that its wheelchair friendly, but in reality its not. We are happy that I am able to walk, cause that what you need. They dont even let you take with your wheelchair, some of the drivers is even rude and does not try to hide it. The food is not great, its more food so you dont die. Do not book this unless its okay that you dont have high expectations and you are completely healthy, cause they dont wait up for you if you need more time to walk or anything like that. The driving in the sand is fun, if its okay that bigger people squish you and you like warm weather. If you are little, you are gonne ble squished by the people that are higher and bigger. Not all seatbelts even work.

The good:
Great entertainment
The bad:
The dessert safari was disorganized. In the enclosed area reserved for ATV, there was no path so drivers were coming from every direction. I had to look left, right, forward, backward before I could make any moves.

The ATVs were poorly maintained. My front break was broken and I had to push really hard to accelerate. I also saw a drivers wheel fall off!

The photo they take of you on the ATV is poor quality and they don’t really care if you’re looking at the camera but I guess for $12, it’s not bad.

The driver/our primary tour guide was unpleasant.

The dune drive was short. Approximately 6-7 minutes. I had a much longer dune ‘bash’ earlier this year with a different tour operator.

Food-okay. Pay the extra and get VIP. Wait times for food will otherwise be long.

Overall, because I did a similar excursion with a different tour (wish I could remember the name), I can say, I’ve had a better experience with the other tour company I used. Do your research and book with someone else.

Absolutely fabulous day out and a wonderful driver who was very accommodating when there was a slight misunderstanding and this was resolved promptly.

I would highly recommend using this company for your day trip.

**side note** when you are taken for a bathroom break please be cautious in purchasing the clothing where they allow you to use the bathroom, as we were charged £320 for the outfits we really don’t need, which included 3 scarfs/ 1 male/1 child white dishdash. Absolutely scandalous especially as these are provided at the event. So absolutely not necessary.

Other than that fab day!! Wonderful experience
