Scheduled departure was 7:30 AM. VIATOR told us to watch for a message at 7 pm the night before about actual departure. Message came at 4:30 in the morning and said departure would be early. At 7:25 AM, there was no one at the pick-up point.

The tour was value for money
We went to all three sights as described in 13-14 hours
The sights were amazing and worth visiting. The time for lunch was a bit rushed though
Unfortunately the places and times that you offered for pick up were non existent, and they even said I didn’t specify any pick up location and time!
I found this incredible since I couldn’t have completed the booking without doing so!
I think this matter needs looking into otherwise it’ll cause endless confusion again in the future.

I had a wonderful day on tour, visiting the Peleș palace was the highlight for me. Our very knowledgeable guide Vlad, made us feel right at home and provided us with an historical, economical and cultural framework for all of the sites, which was very enriching. Thank you Vlad and crew!

Hotel pick up is on time. The tour is intense, but I have enough time to see castles and old town of Brasov.

Peles castle.
Heavy rain in Brasov, the only thing to do was to sit in a coffee shop. But we think that the town would have ben interesting to walk around in.

This tour was an amazing way to experience some of Romania’s iconic sights! From the moment we left Bucharest, our tour guide, Eugen, was very informative and helpful, telling us lots of interesting information and making sure we had toilet stops etc. Eugen’s commentary throughout the entire journey was an unexpected bonus of the trip, and made the journeys go quickly as we were learning so much about Bucharest, the surrounding countryside, and Romania in general. When we arrived at Peleş castle, initially we were disappointed that we couldn’t go inside the castle (it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until the end of April, which we didn’t know beforehand), but we soon forgot our disappointment as the outside of the castle was stunning and like something from a fairytale with the surrounding mountains. The next stop was Bran castle (the inspiration for Dracula), which again was stunning and very imposing from the outside. We were also able to walk around inside the castle which was really interesting (although very busy with lots of school trips). There’s a big souvenir market at Bran castle, which we didn’t have much time to explore before we had to get back on the coach, but we didn’t mind this as it meant we had plenty of time in the beautiful city of Brasov. As well as being very picturesque, Brasov also had lovely shops and restaurants (which was much needed by this point in the day!). Before we left Brasov, we met back up with Eugen for an optional 30 minute walking tour (for no extra charge), which again made sure we learnt lots about the city before we left. The final long journey back to Bucharest was a good opportunity to relax after a tiring but brilliant day. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in Romania’s history!
