Leaving from Porto, meet your tour guide at 08:30 a.m and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
After the first stretch of the journey you will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production.
Next enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley (Pinhão) where we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour cruise in the Douro River, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into one of the most unique in the world.
Then, in order to complete this experience, enjoy a traditional lunch in a vineyard of a small-medium producer, finishing with a delicious port wine tasting, at their cellars.
After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

1. Lamego
After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto, and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
2.
After the first stretch of the journey and having arrived to the Douro Valley, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production. Here we will have a commented wine tasting we will also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley so unique.
3. Douro River
After the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley, the beautifull village of Pinhão.
4. Pinhao
In Pinhão we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour river cruise, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into a true "Geologic Poem"
5. Miradouro Torguiano De Sao Cristovao Do Douro
After the scenic cruise it´s time to drive up the hills, through the windy Douro roads and get on our way to Sabrosa, for lunch. It´s time to discover more of what the Douro Valley has to offer and to enjoy the breathtaking views from up the mountains.
6. Sabrosa
In Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine. For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports. After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

• Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Specialized infant seats are available
• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• Confirmation will be received at time of booking;
• The day before the tour, you will receive the exact pickup details regarding pickup, meeting point and time;
• Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
• This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
• This tour has two different options, with or without hotel pick up. If you choose the option with the meeting point this tour may or may not be done in a minibus or bus. If you choose the Small Group with hotel pick up option, this tour will be done on a minivan and a group of up to 8 people;
• For the ones that choose hotel pick-up, if your accomodation is not in a very easy to reach location, we might ask you to meet us at a close by location;
• Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
• For lunch we provide meet, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
• We do tours all year round, in the winter it is cold and in the summer it's hot, please dress appropriately
• There is not much walking involved, but please bring comfortable shoes;
• Don´t forget to bring your camera with you!
• This tour last around 9 hours, but it´s subject to local traffic conditions or visit schedules;
• Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
• The order of the tour or partners visit are subject to change depending on availability;

The tour was great. The bus was comfortable. The wine tasting hosts were very engaging and informative about the vineyards and the wine making processes. The wine and the lunch were tasty and plentiful. Our tour guide Rita was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Overall a very pleasant day.

Sarah was a fantastic host! Great energy. Got a large group of people into a great mood. Scenery was beautiful. Wineries were a great choice. Lunch was wonderful.
Just wish the boat was smaller. Just with our group and not another bus. We weren’t able to sit outside and too many people to take pictures of riverside.

Nearly every aspect of the tour was excellent. Sara, our guide, was very engaging. The vineyards were great. The wine was plentiful and the food good. Leandro the young host at the second quinta was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed the river cruise in perfect weather. We met some lovely people and there was a friendly atmosphere throughout!

Enjoyed the tour, comfy coach, lovely lunch in a beautiful setting. Some of the information was repeated (eg tour guide told us on the way to the venue and then the guide repeated the same stories). Lots of tasty wine to try, overall would recommend.

Wine to the final port tasting and lunch everything was so well done! If I were to do it again I would skip the boat tour as it is similar to something I have at home

The entire day was wonderful! Communicating with our tour guide in advance (to confirm pickup location, etc) was easy. We first stopped off at the charming town of Amarante en route to our first winery tour. After that, we had a wonderful lunch (and more wine!), then headed to Pinhao for our river cruise. After that, we had our second winery tour, then headed home. Our tour guide was Pedro, who had a great sense of humor and was fun to talk with. The day could not have been better!
