Leaving from Porto, meet your tour guide at 08:30 a.m and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
After the first stretch of the journey you will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production.
Next enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley (Pinhão) where we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour cruise in the Douro River, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into one of the most unique in the world.
Then, in order to complete this experience, enjoy a traditional lunch in a vineyard of a small-medium producer, finishing with a delicious port wine tasting, at their cellars.
After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

1. Lamego
After meeting with your tour guide, leave from Porto, and travel to the beautiful Douro Valley in a comfortable climatized vehicle.
2.
After the first stretch of the journey and having arrived to the Douro Valley, we will be visiting a small family owned vineyard, with a wine tasting of their own production. Here we will have a commented wine tasting we will also enjoy some wonderfull views of the terraced hills that make the Douro Valley so unique.
3. Douro River
After the first winery, enjoy a scenic drive through the world famous National Road 222, to the heart of the Douro Valley, the beautifull village of Pinhão.
4. Pinhao
In Pinhão we will embark on the unique experience of doing a short 1 hour river cruise, to soak in the beautiful landscape while admiring the terraced hills with the quintessential vineyards and estates that turn the margins of the Douro River into a true "Geologic Poem"
5. Miradouro Torguiano De Sao Cristovao Do Douro
After the scenic cruise it´s time to drive up the hills, through the windy Douro roads and get on our way to Sabrosa, for lunch. It´s time to discover more of what the Douro Valley has to offer and to enjoy the breathtaking views from up the mountains.
6. Sabrosa
In Sabrosa we will stop at another family owned winery, where we will have a traditional portuguese lunch complete with 4 courses, entrance, salad, main dish and dessert, all paired with their delicious Douro red and white wine. For the grande finale we will visit their cellar where we will try some of their fantastic ports. After a full day of exploration and discovery, relax and enjoy your journey back to Porto.

• Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Specialized infant seats are available
• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• Confirmation will be received at time of booking;
• The day before the tour, you will receive the exact pickup details regarding pickup, meeting point and time;
• Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
• This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
• This tour has two different options, with or without hotel pick up. If you choose the option with the meeting point this tour may or may not be done in a minibus or bus. If you choose the Small Group with hotel pick up option, this tour will be done on a minivan and a group of up to 8 people;
• For the ones that choose hotel pick-up, if your accomodation is not in a very easy to reach location, we might ask you to meet us at a close by location;
• Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
• For lunch we provide meet, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
• We do tours all year round, in the winter it is cold and in the summer it's hot, please dress appropriately
• There is not much walking involved, but please bring comfortable shoes;
• Don´t forget to bring your camera with you!
• This tour last around 9 hours, but it´s subject to local traffic conditions or visit schedules;
• Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
• The order of the tour or partners visit are subject to change depending on availability;

We took our family on this tour and had a fantastic time. Our guide, Joáo, was incredibly helpful - also a great host. We’re so grateful for the assistance and generosity of his time. We highly recommend this tour to see and experience the Douro valley!

Went with 2 children 10 and 12. They were a bit bored at first winery but enjoyed the lunch. Wish they added some honey or olive oil tasting for them.
First winery is early and would have liked more food options.
Overall was good and I would do this again.
The River cruise is lovely and Sara was very informative.

Loved this day trip to the Douro Valley to learn about local wines and ports and see the stunning landscape. Our guide (Sara) was very warm, well-informed, and funny, and she provided lots of extra information about the region. The wines and ports we tasted were from small, family-run farms that we wouldn't have known about otherwise, and at each location we were greeted like VIPs and friends. The pours were generous and the lunch was delicious. The river boat cruise was definitely worth it to get a different view of this beautiful part of Portugal. If going in winter, bring an extra layer because it can get chilly! A highlight of our trip to Portugal, definitely recommend to get out of the major cities.

We had a great time on this tour. Everything was taken care of for us. Mario the driver was excellent and Sarah our guide was fun, friendly and knowledgeable! The wine and lunch were great, and so was the river cruise.

This was a lovely way to spend a day! Beautiful scenery, terrific selection of ports at both wineries, and a really knowledgeable guide. The tour got us back to Porto in time to enjoy dinner at one of Porto's many fantastic restaurants.

Great experience! Sara was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny, she elevated the tour to the next level.
The wineries were excellent, very nicely representing the different varieties of port and table wines produced in the Douro Valley.
The river cruise was also nice, with beautiful views of the valley from the river.

Duoro valley tour is very good. Wine tasting and history of Porto was very interesting. Weather was a bit cold. Heating in the wine tasting area would be good.
