The trip was very memorable and just beautiful. The wineries were outstanding. Our guide, Andreia was experienced and knowledgeable and very personable She was great.
Only thing I found not to my liking was the lunch.

Antonio was a great guide and driver. Lived that this was only 8 people total. We got to go to smaller, family run options. The boat ride was beautiful and the lunch was tasty. Highly recommend. Thank you Antonio for a great day!

We had a really good tour with our driver Antonio. He was an excellent driver through the hills of Douro Valley. Really enjoyed the wine and food. The boat ride was good, but wish there was more description about what we were seeing. The tour guide on the boat seemed to be taking to only a few people. Overall though it was a great experience.

We spent a splendid day in the Douro Valley, visting two wineries, taking a relaxing boat ride and eating lunch with our excellent guide/driver Antonio. The first winery, Quinta Dos Castelares was fabulous. We were treated not only to their delicious wines but to a tasting of various honeys and olive oil. The manager of the vineyard (they call them ‘farms’ here) was our guide and he took pride in his position. It was a pleasure to listen to him give a history of the wine and to pour each sample with pride. The valley is magnificent and António stopped accordingly for picture-taking. The second winery was Port only. And so I discovered that I am not a fan. Nevertheless, the views from this farm were worth the visit. In sum, a well-orchestrated overview of this unique area. Don’t miss it!

This tour is a full day, but well planned and well paced. Our guide was terrific and we enjoyed the wineries, the lunch and the boat ride. But the problem we had was that we inadvertently paid fot it twice. Booked through TripAdvisor but they kick it to Viator and we end up getting barraged with confirmations and follow-ups from both. We thought we were just responding to a request for gor confirmation and somehow booked it twice. We didn't realize it until we got assigned to two different vans. We immediately called Viator and the tour operator, but they just pointed fingers at each other and refused a refund. Go directly to Oporto Tours. You'll be better off.

Wonderful experience, fantastic guide. There were 7 total people in the group. The two wine tastings were at small wineries. The lunch at the second winery included an extensive tasting selection. Our guide from Cooltour, Monica, was very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Left Porto on time, back to Porto right on time. Very helpful.

Had a great time on this tour as a solo traveler. While the drive out to the valley takes almost two hours, the scenery along the way is beautiful. You get a very different experience, and different kinds of wine and port, at each winery. The boat ride is a relaxing 30 minutes up and back down a river. Lunch offered three traditional Portuguese dishes with plenty to go around!

This tour is AMAZING!! Alvaro was the best tour guide. He was so informative and fun. We learned a lot about port wines & wines in general. We also ate a ton of great food and saw beautiful farms. Book this tour - you won’t regret it!
