My friend and I last minute decided to go on this day tour from Porto and we can EASILY say it was THE highlight of our trip! Every single location offered the most incredible views, wine and food. The drive to and from Douro Valley was scenic and our amazing tour guide João was very engaging and knowledgable teaching us everything there is to know about the region. 1000/10 would recommend including this day tour in your travel itinerary you will not regret it!!

I'm not usually one for tours, but I'm happy I chose Meridian4people for my adventure through the Douro. Ricardo was my guide, and he was outstanding! Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, he seamlessly switched languages to accommodate both me and a group of five Colombians. His deep knowledge of the Douro Valley, Porto, and Portugal made the trip enlightening. Ricardo is not only an expert guide but also an excellent driver and communicator. The entire journey felt like traveling with a friend. The Douro Valley is truly magical, and thanks to Ricardo, my experience was unforgettable. I couldn't recommend him and Meridian4people more highly.

João provided an unforgettable day from start to finish. He picked us up right from our hotel lobby, and walked us to the car. Throughout the day, João's expert guidance led us to breathtaking views, complimented by lovely wine and delicious local cuisine. The small group of six made it feel like a private adventure! João's dedication to ensuring every detail was perfect made this trip truly exceptional. We never felt rushed, we had time to take lots of pictures, drink, chat, see the views and really enjoy each winery we visited! After arriving safely back at our hotel, João even went out of his way to follow up with some recommendations of things to do during our last few days in Porto. I couldn’t recommend this day trip enough, it truly was wonderful!

Our excursion was amazing! Our guide Joãowas excellent and extremely knowledgeable. He was also a great driver which made the trip even smoother. The wineries, boat cruise and olive oil museum were all beautiful experiences and I highly recommend!

This was a fantastic tour. João was very knowledgeable about the area and Portugal in general. The smaller group size was perfect. The vineyard tour and tasting was great with plenty of time afterwards for photos and to take in the views. We went to this fantastic local spot for lunch and we were the only tourists there. There were several food options, served “family style” and was more than enough to go around.
