The Douro Experience tour will offer you on board boat and then on a train ride through part of the history paths used to carry the Port wine barrels to Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia cellars.
The experience continues with lunch served in a regional restaurant among the people who live and work in the Douro vineyards.

The tour was amazing. They picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the hotel.
Antonio our guide was amazing, accommodating, and attentive.
The boat ride and train ride gave you a great view of the Douro river valley.
The food at the restaurant was delicious and plentiful. The wine, port and olive oil tastings delicious. High recommend it to anyone wanted to spend the day in the Douro valley.

Views on the river were incredible. Our guide Miguel was excellent. His knowledge was good and also spoke and understood English perfectly.
We were able to taste and learn about port wine while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards.
It was a very enjoyable day!

Our hotel pick up was right on time. Carlos our tour leader was extremely knowledgable and made the van trip, the train and boat tour haspects happen on schedule. Make sure your phones are charged cameras loaded for lots of pictures.

Our tour guides were at our hotel at the exact time in the morning. They gave us a call the day before to confirm our booking and our pick up time. Our tour guides Miguel and Carlos were excellent and I would recommend them to anyone. They were knowledgable, very fun, and always willing to take photos of us. The winery was amazing and our guide at the winery was a wine maker himself running the winery and was very welcoming to our family. The lunch was fantastic and they were able to cater to some of our vegetarian needs. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

The wine-tasting experience with Roberto’s personal explanations and his mother’s cooking were above our expectations. The food and wine from the Bucheiro family farm was an excellent experience. This part of the tour seemed to be a personal relationship courtesy of Antonio, who as our guide was also most helpful in giving us the experience of bus boat and train.

Our guides Antonio and Carlos made this a day to remember! They were fun and knowledgeable and did everything to make this a wonderful experience. The Douro Valley is incredibly beautiful, and having the different forms of transportation - vans, trains, and boats - allowed for different perspectives. The excellent luncheon and wine tasting in a private home with the enthusiastic vineyard owner made the experience very personal and engaging. Our family group of ten (ages 26 to 90) loved the day and gave the tour a unanimous two thumbs up!
