We had a fabulous time on our Doors off helicopter tour with Air Kauai! I would 100% book through this company and with this pilot again. We did get a rainy day which made visibility somewhat difficult but the trade off was tons of water falls, moody views and brilliant colors. Very professional group.

This experience has to be lived to actually fully enjoy.
The doors off tour is not for everyone.
As I sat on the outside seat, the thrill of a lifetime unfolded for the next 45 minutes as the copter glided, rocked and banked as the most delightful terrain and landscape spread before my eyes. Yeah, it was heart-pounding as the wind and other forces played tug-of-war with my body. I managed to point my SLR camera and made some lovely images that will allow me to relive those moments over and over. There were six of us on board beside our pilot, Adam Chase. Adam is quite skilled at is job. His voice is calming through the head set as he explains the terrain as it appears off to either side of the helicopter. I cannot help but use the word thrilling again and again to describe this experience. And because I have experienced other thrilling adventures in my live, I can say, without a doubt, this was one of the most thrilling things I have ever done in my 70 years of living. I t had planned this tour for my actual birthday but it was not taken until the the day after. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful birthday-related event.
If you decide on this tour (it is worth the price), be prepared for the thrill of your life.

Amazing breathtaking experience. Highlight of our Hawaiian vacation. Staff was awesome and accommodating. We arrived early due to possible rain. They graciously took us 45 min early. Pilot was very knowledgeable and told us ahead of time if it would be bumpy (it was a few times). Pictures don’t do it justice! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Adam was so great! Air Kaua’i is the best! Cassie was great, too! I highly recommend this tour! It was a wonderful was to experience the beauty of the island!

This was a really cool experience. It is windy with the doors off however it brings everything to life. The pilot was amazing and the tour was beautiful.

This was our favorite part of our trip to the islands and we did a lot! Reading the reviews got me a little nervous but I was able to sit on the inside and the braver of our group sat on the outside. They said they felt safe. Also we were given a photo opp with our cell phones and we were only asked if we wanted to purchase the flight video. It was no pressure to purchase things and we felt we had gotten great videos and photos from our own thing. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Captain Steve was just wonderful. I can’t recommend this enough and this was way outside of my comfort zone.

Wow! What an experience!!! Our doors off tour couldn't have been any better. From start to finish, I felt safe and informed by the crew and pilot. The view are breathtaking and it was a once-in-a-lifetime ride. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see Kauai from the air.

We took this amazing doors off tour in February and we were treated to lush tropical valleys, amazing waterfalls and lots of geological history and even whale information.
Our pilot was very professional and made sure that each of us got to see the canyons and waterfalls from our side and with the doors off it was epic!!! I highly recommend this tour and we are so glad that we did this!

Omg, what an amazing experience. Even for an "afraid of heights mom". We went as a family of 4 on the adrenaline, windy and a little rainy open door adventure. Adam was our pilot and he was fantastic. The preload experience was informative, all of the precautions explained, and then up, up and away. Beautiful scenery, blustery but without doors is the best. Important to tie long hair back as it can be a distraction, as one of the guests on our flight didn't do as asked. Again, scenery was amazing. Entire adventure 1-2hrs long. I would definitely do it again.
