We had a fantastic Christmas in Disneyland Paris. We had never been before and I was a bit worried our 9yo daughter would think herself a bit ‘too grown up’ for some of the stuff but maybe a bit too little for bigger rides. But there really is so much to do for everyone. Our family favourites were; the Ratatouille ride and Chez Remy restaurant; Peter Pan’s Flight; and Buzz Lightyear. But we particularly loved the shows (Mickey and the Magician was SO good!), Christmas parade, and Fireworks. The staff were all fantasti and clearly loved their jobs - I was particularly blown away by how professional and convincingly in character the princesses etc were. Having eaten in Auberge de Cendrillon and met so many princesses there we weren’t going to go to brave the queues at the Princess Pavilion but happened to be walking past at around 7.50pm on Christmas Day and the lady at the door asked us if we wanted to meet a princess… we walked straight in!

Some minor criticisms: the app doesn’t work nearly well in practice as it does in theory and coming from Scotland where it would be illegal it was quite shocking/frustrating that so many people were smoking everywhere all over the children.

BUT definitely a magical place to spend Christmas!

We just got back from a once in a life time (due to cost) short break for Christmas to Disneyland Paris. Overall we had a good time but it is not magical- just a big theme park and not worth my life savings.
We thought looking at previous writeups christmas day would be quiet- WRONG it was very busy busy with most queues over an hour! Christmas eve however was quiet with most queues 15-30mins, a few were around 1 hr and the character queues were absurd. Luckily we had the fast pass (which is also massively overpriced) so got on a lot of rides on Christmas eve within 5mins.
My biggest disappointment was the lack of magic- other than main street it's not particularly dressed for Christmas, I recognise not everyone celebrates but not a single member of staff said merry Christmas. There were 3 ride attendants really in character and 1 member of crew gave us surprise cards and was really friendly but otherwise there was no special customer service or even particularly friendly service.
All the shops pretty much sell the same stuff- although we did get a few disney park exclusives.
We did enjoy Walt disney studios- and as the park was open late we got on a lot of rides without queuing.
The avengers power the night show was spectacular- that had the magic I was expecting!
We didn't eat at the costly restaurants and just went for takeout options like burgers, hot dogs and pizza which were reasonably priced and good quality.
My main feeling is this is just a large ,well run theme park but not magic.
Big tip is to go chill for a few hours in the afternoon and then headback in the late afternoon early evening for less crowds and enough energy for the final show.

First time to Disney, and as a family of 5. Nothing but positive and rave review. Yes it was gutting to not realise parks were closing early, but hard to begrudge the reasons why. The team do so much for so many. The staff were fantastic. The cleanliness of both parks is unreal!!! Minor point, if you have smoking policies, enforce them. People waiting at entrance to rides smoking, when it’s no smoking is rubbing it in your faces. All in all, fantastic 4/5 days. Just marred by the chaos at the tunnel

Forth time here and took the family ( 2 adults/3children) for Xmas, thought it was be extra magical being Xmas but wasn’t as much as we thought, TBH we have been spoilt by Disney in Florida and that’s so much bigger and “Christmassy!” Everywhere you go out there it’s trees, lights, etc and that’s even in the car park, entrance… in DLP it’s only in the parks, seems like the French don’t celebrate Xmas like the British/Americans, even locally there seems no Xmas spirit! No Xmas songs on the radio stations etc! We stayed in Davy Crockett ranch, that was a bit run down in general compared to previous visits too. Anyhow, we have done it now and yes, if we could afford for 5 of us to go to Disney Florida we sure would in a heartbeat. Would we go back in the cold to DLP, no, we would pay the same price which it was in may and enjoy the parks in the warmer weather.

If it were not a Disney, it’s only a mediocre amusement park.

Compared with the California one:
1. Paris (2 parks in total) is much smaller.
2. Price seems to be cheaper(fare enough), but Premium Access is too expensive. And not like CA they do give you Photo Pass with it. Not worthy at all, except you really wanna finish everything within 1 day.
3. You’ve to change different region if you wanna book the hotel. They give you a different price.
4. Paris APP is a semi-finished one. Loading is slow, no sync if you buy the guaranteed seats for those two shows(they ask you to check and show your email…), the filter of the map is hard to use (wait for too long to choose the one I want)…
5. Not every staff will respond to your greetings. Not every one can speak ENG, either.
6. Smoking is everywhere! It really spoils everything if you don’t like it.
7. Cutting in line happens sometimes. No matter where and how.
8. Photos are pix-elated. The CA one doesn’t care.
9. If you walk from the hotels, you don’t need to pass security check?!

Though, the decoration is a little bit better than CA in my opinion.

The Lion King is alright.
Mickey and the Magician is spectacular!
Ratatouille is worthy of the name. Similar to “Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway” in CA and “Symbolica”(but this one is better) in Efteling in the Netherlands.
Crush’s coaster, Stitch LIVE are very innovative and entertaining!

To sum up, if you wanna have a very good Disney experience, don’t come here. Here is only good for those who don't care about cigarettes. If you happen to be in Europe and wanna find some amusement park to go, you may consider it.

Almost crowd panic as thousands of people were herded out at once with the site shutting at 6.30. Badly lit walkways. Multiple exits closed. Security staff barring the way. Another Paris crowd disaster waiting to happen.

The park is kept spotless many cleaners. The queuing was awful just to enter you qued, staying on park you get an hour before they allow the day trippers in.
The rides are excellent but again u can que for over an hour for a 5 minute ride. It was very cold and the youngsters get very fed up..
Most park staff excellent lots of smiles. Our granddaughter had her birthday whilst we visited and was given a badge and the staff wished her a happy birthday which she loved.
Prices are quite expensive and the children want the disney ears (20 euros) toys from 15 euros to hundreds so take the plastic.
I'm sorry to say the food let the park down, I cant say we had a decent meal. We went to the frontier land steakhouse as it was the only booking available before 9.30pm. My soup was cold as was the 4 other starters. I did complain and they replaced but again just slightly hotter. We all had steaks again cold the pepper butter couldn't even melt on them. It also said it was a sirloin steak it was a lot cheaper cut a bavette quite chewy and stringy. I would have sent it back again as would the rest of our party but it was her birthday and we had ordered a birthday cake and needed it to be a great experience for her not her family complaing about the awful food.

It was seamless to access Disneyland Paris with pre-purchased tickets from Viator. Load tickets in the app, connect to the free park wi-fi, and you are good to go. Highly recommend using the app to easily see show times, attraction wait times and more. Christmas at Disneyland is special with certain holiday shows, decorations and food. If flexible, try going early December mid-week for a quieter experience. Crowds definitely picked up by Thursday.

We are huge disney fans. Value the attention to detail, memorable entertainment and incredible service. This park although looking and feeling like the Disney we love, doesn’t quite hit the bar. Apart from a couple of stand out cast members, the staff members really let the Disney brand down especially in the restaurants.
The Christmas parade was fabulous, as was the fake snow down Main Street.

It was really good but the queues were quite long so if you can afford it wd recommend fast track. The queues for coffee and food were quite long and as we went in December, very cold and there needs to be more inside places to sit and eat as no one wants to sit outside in December!!
There's lots to see and do but if you want to eat in the restaurants wd advise booming in the evening as the get fill very quickly.
The parade was great and I wd definitely go again but maybe when the grandchildren are older, only because getting to Disney on the hotel shuttle provided was a nightmare with buggies.
