We had a fabulous guide, Otto! He was very knowledgeable about wildlife and history and incredibly welcoming. He took photos for us of our experience which is much appreciated. We left our phones behind because we knew he would take care of documenting the experience. We even got a merengue lesson at the end!

A brilliant trip, our guide Otto was fantastic, helpful and very entertaining he had a great singing voice😁 and after the kayaking tour he even gave us a merengue dancing lesson 👍

It was raining and early, and the trip could have been a miserable experience with two teens, but our guide Otto made sure to make the kayaking light-hearted and fun. From quizzing us on Spanish to pointing out wonderful birds and facts about Arenal, there was no moment of boredom or disappointment even though we never did see Volcán Arenal.
The kayaks, oars, and life vests were in great condition, and the pace was comfortable and challenging in turns. Thanks for a great kayak experience!

I highly recommend the Kayaking on Lake Arenal. I had a wonderful experience on the lake - enjoying the scenic views and exploring the wildlife. Our guide Otto was fantastic and made the experience so memorable! He was friendly, knowledgable and if you get the chance - ask him to sing! This is the third time I've used this company. They've moved the loading area to another place making it easier to get into kayaks. Guides were helpful and encouraging to new kayakers. Swim area was quiet.

We wanted to kayak on Lake Arenal and Desafio tours did n ot disappoint!
Four of us plus our guide paddled around for two hours. A van picked us up promptly at our hotel and, after the kayak,.we were treated to delicious pinapple slices!
We were then driven back to our hotel A lovely day - Thanks!!

A great experience with kayaking. We had Jason and he was very knowledgeable about the animals in lake arenal. We had beautiful views. Kayaks were well maintained. Your included transportation, and Jason even stopped the van so we could see a sloth on the side of the road. We also did the cooking class and the full day tour to the hanging bridges, volcano and waterfall. Prices were a bit high but I think that’s common for this area. We loved all of our tours. Everything was well organized.

Four of us (fit at 65-70 yrs) enjoyed this trip. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable about what we were seeing as we paddled. Equipment and length of trip were great. Recommend.

A great sunny morning ! A van of Desafio took us ( me and my daughter, just the two of us !) to Arenal Lake . The guide tought us what to do and we were on our way. I think the tour was a little bit long, so we stopped half way and decided to go at the final point by boat .
