The food and show were just average. The dessert was 2 bite size pieces of cake. We expected more from this luau given that 2 tickets cost about $460.00 . Included were drink tickets for “premium” drinks but for a tropical drink, all you can get is a small Mai tai. Other tropical drinks were an $8.00 a piece up charge in addition to your drink ticket. The ticket includes free tickets to the aquarium but there is not much to the aquarium but fish and coral(the sea lion part was under renovation). They also charge $35 if you want the picture taken at the beginning of the luau. For $460, they could have given you the picture. All in all, we felt like it wasn’t worth the cost of the ticket for what you got.

The luau was our first and we were so glad we chose this one. The performances were top notch! The food and drinks (little on expensive side) were good too!

A very entertaining Friday evening with a great variety of small plates adding up to more than a full meal. The performers were awesome. I don't know about other days of the week, but Foody Friday you definitely do not need the VIP package - it adds nothing to the experience but putting you at the picnic tables closest to the stage. However, some of the proceeds have to go to the aquarium so consider it a donation.

Food was fabulous and great dancers. Everyone in our group enjoyed the show and would recommend it and the bonus was it was walking distance from our hotel.

One of the reasons to come to Hawaii is to get the flower lei. But if you want that you have purchase the most expensive package, which is not worthy. We came for the show and for the flower lei. I wanted the flowers lei and pictures taken with the show performances but because the package that we chose they didn’t give us the flowers. I chose the less expensive because we didn’t want the big buffet we wanted the fire show but they didn’t give us the flowers I was just so madly furious. They could at least offer to sell it. Also the show was no very good, the only good was the warriors with the fire but you have to wait all the way until the end. The layout is horrible everybody is on top of everyone. A lady back up and drop my drink. It is just very confusing you have to get you tickets in one area but enter in another there was no directions. The guy start climbing the coconut tree without announcing it. Very unprofessional they don’t open the restrooms until the main show start other ways you have to go out enter the aquarium then come back to the waiting area. They said at the beach. But their is fences so you can’t walk to the beach. Just disappointed with the description.

Totally enjoyed the entertainment. Not sure of the authenticity of the food after talking to people who live there and are of the culture. Lots of the entertainment was educational.

Sooo expensive and while the food was okay (desert was minuscule) the entertainment was lame. The gentleman who posed with guests for an obligatory photo was terribly disinterested. The photos were some of the poorest developed I have seen - badly over exposed. But what really caused the 2 star rating was the entertainment. Not so much the ability of the dancers, which was quite good, but the constant call from the compare for the audience to repeat all these Hawaiian words after him. I’m not opposed to this in moderation but some of it was senseless, continual repetition. He needs to investigate a range of ways for audience participation. And the costumes!! I would have thought the reason most people attend these luaus is to appreciate the traditional customs of Hawaii’s natives. Why do we then see the performers in candy coloured outfits with pom poms that one would expect in a group of cheer leaders??
Not sure what it is like now, but 6 years ago I attended a luau in Maui at the Sheraton, and although it had a much bigger crowd it was a fabulous occasion with far more traditional costumes, routines and music. Did I mention how expensive this was!!

We had a great time. I really liked the cultural experiences. I had fun making my lei bracelet and palm head band.

Our Hotel was less then 1/2 mile away so we were able to enjoy a nice walk along the beach and park lined sidewalk to and from the Luau.
