Next stop is Delphi for 2 hours.
Lunch in Delphi with magnificent view of Delphi riviera and the biggest valley of olive trees in Greece.
After, off-road drive at a height of 1400m / 4593f visiting the corycian cave, the 1st oracle since 4.000 b.c. not full excavated yet.
Next stop will be at Thermopylae (hot gates) :
^ Leonidas and 300 Spartans monument
At Delphi is not allowed to be your guide but I will give a book guide and as we drive for 2 hours I will explain the myths and historical events in ancient Greece not only for Delphi but concerning religion, the immortality of the soul with the Eleusinian mysteries, the culture, and the sciences.

We enjoyed the delicious taverna lunch and the many miles of scenery. The trip to Delphi seemed much more complete than what we had experienced on a package tour some years ago. Our intrepid driver took the van up to the cave via the one possible (unpaved) road, which most tours would not dare navigate. Definitely a good day and a good tour!

Highly recommend this great trip. Our guide was very informative, providing historical comments and anecdotes as we travelled in the minibus. We wondered beforehand, if not actually having a guide inside Delphi would be an issue, but the guide book our guide gave us, and the background information before, with the good explanation tablets at the site and museum, provided everything we needed. It was good being part of a small party as we could move around at our own pace. Note sure we could have packed in the beautiful village of Arachova, Delphi site and Museum, the Corycian Cave or seen Thermopylae in one day, if we hadn’t done this trip from Athens. Plus a lovely lunch in restaurant with great views. Our guide’s enthusiasm for history shone through.

Panagiotis was a great tour guide! My husband and I were in a small group with 5 other travelers. He made sure he explained everything at each site, was clear on exactly where the meeting points were afterwards and answered all of our questions. Very happy with our experience.

This was a long day trip but the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although we knew that we would not have a guide for Delphi I felt that impacted our experience. I also would have liked to be in a larger Van especially for this long of a trip- we were tightly packed and the sound system didn’t work well.

Our tour guide Pan was great. He’s definitely a history buff. The sites were very nice to see. The cave was my favorite part of the trip. The view from the restaurant was amazing. Only downside was the smell of cigarettes in the van. Other than that, it was a great tour.

We had a great time discovering Delphi and surroundings in a small group with our guide/driver Anastasios. I have car sickness and I often feel nauseous on loopy mountains roads, but Anastasios drove smoothly and I didn’t feel sick at all. He taught us many things about Greece’s history and culture. I highly recommend this tour if you want to be more comfortable and have a more personal experience than with the cheaper, big bus tours.

Pan was an excellent guide! He had lots of great information on the sites and got us to each one efficiently and safely. We were able to see a lot of cool sites in just a day trip. Our favorite was definitely Delphi! It has some spectacular views! Overall, a great way to get out of Athens for a day!

We – my wife and I – can highly recommend the trip. We come from Germany and China – and we are not English native speakers, but the guide tried to use simple language. He did a great job. The highlight of the trip was certainly Delphi and the battlefield where the 300 died. Anyone who likes history is in good hands here. The explanations of the geography of the battlefield were also excellent. Looking back, it was the best trip of our vacation to Greece!
