Thoroughly enjoyable trip to see Delphi, Corycian cave and Thermopylae via Arachova (an enroute skiing resort!) despite being on the only rainy (& misty) day of our November weeklong holiday in Athens! Our driver/guide was very helpful, very attentive, very courteous and was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we were going to see - the trip much benefitted from there being a small number of sightseers (4 of us) plus driver/guide in a minibus. As the sites were mainly in the hills, the views of the landscapes would have been breathtaking on a good day, unfortunately we were hit by a rare rainy and misty day, however, the historic sites made for a really great day in any case and made the day trip very worthwhile and most enjoyable

My husband has long been a fan of the movie 300, and my sons have always enjoyed learning about the Ancient Greeks and Mythology, so this trip was perfect for our family! The trip actually consists of three unique experiences: the visit to Delphi, including the historic site of their temples, auditorium, etc. (I had no idea that these buildings existed outside of the Acropolis at Athens) and museum; then there was the (adventurous!) trip up the mountain to the Corycian Cave - super coo!; finally, we visited the sites of the infamous battle at Thermopylae. So, a lot of history, some outdoor adventure, and some storytelling.
All of the above sites were amazing, but the best part of the trip was our guide, himself a native of Delphi. His pride in Greece was evident as he provided us with a detailed history of each site, and shared a WEALTH of knowledge. It was a fascinating day, outside the city of Athens, and I am so glad we signed on for this trip!

It was a very long day, but very rewarding as well. First stop was the quaint mountain resort town of Arachova for a coffee and some awesome views. The archeological park at Delphi was spectacular and the guidebook provided by the local guide was very well written. The Delphi museum was also very interesting. After lunch at a local Greek restaurant we drove to the cave which was out of the way and hard to navigate up the rocky path to the entrance (the only drawback to the trip) Final stop was to Thermopylae and the battle site. Our guide was very knowledgeable of Greek history, Mythology and culture Overall, a great day and trip

This tour blew my expectations completely out of the water and ended up being the best part of our time in mainland Greece. It was simply exceptional from pickup to drop off. Fantastic guide, fantastic driving, and a fantastic group. Unlike a lot of other tours, it should be noted that you personally have a major impact on your experience over the course of the 12+ hours you will be with your fellow travelers.

We were picked up promptly at the scheduled departure time right outside our hotel. The drive to Arachova was a bit quiet, and I don’t think any of the passengers (us included) really knew what to expect. After a break for some pictures and to take in the mountainous setting, we were dropped off at the entrance of town and told to proceed on foot without our guide until reaching the other side. This was a crucial opportunity to get some coffee and use the restroom before the real trip began.
After getting back into the van, the real tour began as we were told about the myths and truths surrounding Delphi. While we did not have a guide-led tour of the site, the information provided beforehand proved more than sufficient to grasp what we were seeing and the importance of the multiple locations.
After Delphi we were taken to a local restaurant for lunch, and got to know our fellow travelers and guide. This is vital to the success of a small-group all day tour. After food, drinks, and good conversation, we boarded once again and got to experience the masterful driving skills that it took to get up the side of a mountain to see Corycian Cave. Seriously, the drive alone guarantees this tour a 5 star review. Corycian Cave is an archaeological site unlike any other we experienced in Athens/the surrounding area - isolated, devoid of other tourists, and shrouded in myth.

Thermopylae, through no fault of the tour operator itself, was a bit of a let down after multiple amazing stops up to that point. The recession of the Aegean Sea in the Maliakos Gulf had rendered the site unrecognizable vs the image you may have based on an understanding of the area’s significance throughout Greece’s history. Compared to other archaeological sites in the country, Thermopylae has very little to offer to enhance knowledge or understanding - a small plaque on a hill, remnants of the Phocian Wall mostly converted into a campground, and a larger memorial designed for tourist pictures. You 100% need a guide here to gain any perspective of what you’re looking at.

Our group also opted not to partake in the hot springs portion of the tour as the location had a large number of mosquitoes desperate for the blood of unsuspecting visitors.

Excellent trip, really enjoyed it. Not enough time at Delphi but that's just nitpicking! It packed in loads - Arachova, Delphi (if we hadn't spent so long in the museum we would have had more time in the site but it,'s such a great museum!), Corcyrian Cave ( those views!!!), the site of the battle of Thermopylae ( you get shown the hill where Leonidas died and the plaque commemorating it as well as the statue!) And lastly half an hour at the Herculean hot springs which were fab. Well paced and lunch was good too. Good driver and guide - the drive up the cave was very skilfully handled! Great day out altogether.

It was great to get away from Athens for the day. Everything was great, Delphi, lunch, the cave, and the battle site. Having such a great tour guide made the day very stress free. I felt as though I had an ample amount of time at each location.

This is a trip that everyone should take when they come to Greece!!

Pan was excellent guide and was full of knowledge of each area we visited and was always happy to answer any questions we had.

Started the day heading to Arachova which is nestled in the mountains with stunning views that are breathtaking.
Heading on to Delphi we had 2 hours to visit the ruins and museum which was more than enough time ( all up hill climbing )

A stop off for lunch in the next village with excellent Greek cuisine and more panoramic views.

Onto the cave which is up a beaten up track but once there it was amazing to see ( good grip shoes is essential as it gets very slippery in the cave)

Finally to Thermopylae where the 300 fought and died. This was a childhood dream of mine to see the site and Pan explained how the battlefield would have looked in 480BC. With the epitaph and statue is was amazing to see.

Overall a fantastic experience and will be a long time remembered.

Excellent trip to Thermopylae pass visiting Delphi and other sights on the way
Driver was very knowledgeable and pleasant and minibus was comfortable with A/C
Communication was excellent with pick up and drop off from outside the hotel
The weather was a bit cold and damp up in the mountains but umbrellas were supplied and it wasn’t an issue
For anyone travelling just also be aware that there is a mosquito problem around the Thermopylae area so bring repellent, we didn’t and suffered for it
Great restaurant for lunch with fantastic scenic views and very good quality food ( not the usual tourist trap)
If you are a History buff at all you will love this as I did but it’s a great trip even just for the scenery
Highly recommend

The pickup was spot on time and at the right location.
Costas did a great job as it was a big day driving.
We got to Delphi before the tour busses and could see them unloading.
Due to there demograph they went stright to the museum and the ques were to long for us.
We stopped for lunch and it was very well planned and catered by the restaurant. Then on to the cave , no tour busses there as you need 4wd to get up to it.
Then drove to Thermopolis . It was amazing to see the battle field .
Back to Athens
I would recommend this day trip due to very low numbers and flexibility.
