1. Athens
Meet with our licensed Tour Guide at 08:20am and depart immediately for Delphi archaeological site with our air-conditioned coach. The drive will last 2.5 to 3 hours with a small stop of 20 minutes at a local cafe for a rest-break.
2. Delphi
Delphi was regarded as the center of the world. According to mythology, it is here that the two eagles sent out by Zeus from the ends of the universe to find the navel of the world met. The sanctuary of Delphi, set within a most spectacular landscape, was for many centuries the cultural and religious center and symbol of unity for the Hellenic world. The history of Delphi begins in prehistory and in the myths of the ancient Greeks. In the beginning the site was sacred to Mother Earth and was guarded by the terrible serpent Python, who was later killed by Apollo. Apollo's sanctuary was built here by Cretans who arrived at Kirrha, the port of Delphi, accompanied by the god in the form of a dolphin. This myth survived in plays presented during the various Delphic festivals, such as the Septerion, the Delphinia, the Thargelia, the Theophania and, of course. the famous Pythia, which celebrated the death of Python and comprised musical and athletic competitions.
3. Tholos of Athena Pronaia
Your tour in Delphi will start by visiting the Tholos. The Tholos of Delphi is among the ancient structures of the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia in Delphi and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
4. Temple of Apollo
Marvel at some of the most important and unique archaeological monuments, such as the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian Stoa and the Polygonal Wall. Our highly experienced and professional tour guide will make sure that you will not miss a single thing and enjoy yourself throughout the tour.
5. Delphi Archaeological Museum
Delphi Archaeological Museum hosts globally known pieces of Art like the Naxian Sphinx, the statue of Antinoos, the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians and the bronze Charioteer.
6. Arachova
Our final stop is the picturesque multicoloured village of Arachova, where we spent about an hour for optional lunch in one of the many traditional restaurants of the village or a stroll around its narrow alleys, in order to admire the hand-woven carpets and buy local delicacies, such as Formaela cheese. A 30 minute walking tour is offered by the guide before we get on the bus to return to Athens

Excellent trip with our amazing guide Dionisis! The views were beautiful and the place is super interesting. We are only taking off a star because the departure times could be better arranged to avoid the terrible traffic coming back into Athens. Still, we would definitely recommend!

Both my wife and i had visited Greece before, but 40 years ago. We had visited the usual places, Athens and the Islands, but what a treat visiting the mountainous area of Delphi.

Our tour guide Dorina was amazing! She brought everything to life for us! We went on a Saturday and that really minimized the traffic getting in and out of Athens. The food at the restaurant was excellent but the service was extremely slow, could be that it was a Saturday.
