We will enjoy a visit to Delphi, novel of the world and the religious sites of Meteora. Also, we will pass by Thermopylae, where the 300 Spartans fought and the breathtaking Arachova.

My husband and I had the best tour with George!! It was the highlight of our 10 day trip that included time in Santorini, Paros and Athens. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for the most enjoyable and efficient way to see this area of Greece. If you're trying to decide if it's worth adding to your itinerary - do not hesitate to book!! We loved every minute and the time flew by. It's a very crowded area and this is absolutely the best way to experience the wonder and beauty without wearing yourself out... George dropped us off at the entrance of every stop and came back to pick us up when we were ready. I cannot imagine the time and effort it would have taken for us to find parking and walk to/from the car (or tour bus!) among all the locations we visited. I'm so grateful to have had this time to see things I didn't know existed before planning this vacation.

We were so excited to find a tour that included Meteora, Thermopoli and Delphi in a single day from Athens. Our guide and driver Dallas was exceptional in his knowledge, passion and flexibility. He adjusted to our needs and made it a memorable experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner at a great local tea restaurant we ended with back in Athens.

This was an amazing day to Meteora and Delphi. Our guide Dimos was awesome. Although it was a long day (almost 15 hours), the day went by effortlessly. Dimos shared many stories and provided historical context throughout the trip. He was very considerate, kind and friendly and it was like talking to a longtime friend. The Meteora Monasteries are magnificent. We stopped at 2 different monasteries for visits and picture taking and Dimos timed the stops to avoid the crowds. At the end of the day, we had dinner in a traditional great neighborhood restaurant with so much food. I highly recommend this tour and our guide Dimos.

This was an amazing day to Meteora and Delphi. Steph was our guide and driver and he was so kind and friendly. Really enjoyed talking with him. He has such interesting knowledge to share. And he's just a really great guy. This is a very long day but really it didnt seem so. The ride was pleasant and comfortable and of course the Meteora Monasteries are nothing short of spectacular. Steph got us to 3 different monasteries for visits and picture taking. Then on to Delphi where we visited the archeological site and museum. We weren't rushed at all. During the day we found time for a stop for an authentic Greek gyro, and a quick visit to a souvenir shop. At the end of the day we had dinner in an amazing traditional great neighborhood restaurant with lovely Greek families all around us. The owner came over several times to welcome us. I would do this same tour again. Highly recommend this tour and our drive and guide Steph.

The private tour was perfect for a long day. I wanted to go to both places but didn't want to spend overnight. George I. was a great tour guide. Lots of knowledge on the sites and very attentive to all we wanted to do and see. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our guide George was very friendly!
The explanation was easy to understand and fun.
His driving was quick but steady.
By accurately predicting the time needed and guiding us, we were able to make the most of our day.
Plus he is a good photographer!

George was our tour guide who went above and beyond our expectations. He made sure we were comfortable, and provided plenty of information about sited we were seeing. George made a long tour into a fun tour with great snacks and laughs. Definitely would recommend this tour. Ask for George you won't be disappointed!

This was an amazing trip during which we visited the Meteora monasteries, Thermopylae, and Delphi. Paddy provided a ton of information on the history of each location in advance of our arrival, which provided immensely helpful context for what we would see and experience. Paddy ensured we were always comfortable, including stopping for much needed coffee before leaving Athens (tour began very early), and always offering tasty snacks and sodas (oregano potato chips were awesome!). He ensured we were able to make the absolute most of the day and we were incredibly grateful! It was a wonderful experience!

If you're anything like me—someone whose historical timeline starts with dinosaurs and gets fuzzier around the advent of sliced bread—then booking a tour with We Went to Metoria in a sleek black Mercedes is a must! Our guide, who miraculously managed to keep the car cleaner than my thoughts on ancient history, was not just a guide, but a patient history whisperer.
We started our journey in Meteora, which I was convinced was a recently discovered dinosaur until our guide explained the heavenly monasteries perched atop those stunning rock formations. Next up, Thermopylae, where I was half expecting to see a T-Rex popping out instead of learning about the 300 Spartans. Thankfully, our guide explained the historic battle with such flair that even I, a prehistoric aficionado, was hooked.
The climax of our educational escapade was Delphi, the center of the world for the ancients and a puzzling place for timeline-troubled tourists like myself. As we wandered through the ruins, our guide patiently untangled the threads of time, distinguishing myth from history—a Herculean task with me as an audience.
Throughout the trip, our guide answered all my anachronistic questions without a hint of a sigh, proving that the right person can indeed teach an old dino new tricks.
