Top Shot Sportfishing Charters has been in business and catching fish since 1975. As a second generation captain it is my goal to ensure you have an excellent adventure catching fish and having fun aboard a comfortable 52' Hatteras. Very little time is wasted traveling to the fishing grounds and just two miles from the inlet we are fishing in deep water and targeting big game. Relax inside the air conditioned cabin or join the excitement in the cockpit targeting fish. Additionally there is plenty of space on the vessel to join the captain on the bridge. Any edible fish you catch the crew will filet and bag for you to take home to eat. When you arrive every aspect of the fishing charter has been taken care of and the first mate will cast the lines and we are off to the fishing grounds. We want you to have fun and catch fish aboard a very nice and clean sportfishing charter boat in a relaxed and fun atmosphere where a professional crew will guide you when reeling in the big one.

Very professional and would definitely recommend. Capt. Dave returned my appt. request the same day. He was happy to work around our cruise departure schedule. We were able to do 4 hours in the a.m. before our cruise departed. Kyle the assistant was so very good with my teen boys. It was fun to see his love for the sport! He helped my son catch a huge King Mackeral. It was the highlight of our trip!

Great family fun. The captain and staff are knowledgeable and engaging. Caught several nice fish. Captain also has good restaurant recommendations.

Captain Dave and his first mate Kyle knew what to do and where the big fish are. First we went after live bait fish and then headed to deeper waters for the big ones. They were right about the location and we caught a 101 inch long Sailfish. The biggest catch of my life and the best fishing experience so far. High recommendations!

Our day started out at 645 am with Captain Dave and Kyle. BOTH are outstanding young men that LOVE what they do ! Our group included 4 teens , 14 years old and up and my husband and I. Captain Dave and Kyle worked their butts off to find fish and we had a lot of laughs doing it. They are patient and kind with kids and they found us fish for every one in our group to reel in ! You can’t ask for a better couple of guys. Just book them , you will not be sorry you did. An extra bonus ? A restroom on the boat , yes especially for the girls in the group and AC inside with 2 huge clean couches for a sick kid ( none of us had ever been on a boat for 6 hours , we booked the 6 hour one ). The teen felt better after about an hour and back on deck she went . This boat is WONDERFUL and the fishermen on it can’t be beat ! ENJOY ! Ps - call him direct , on his cell to book , I found it easier to do :)

Great boat and great crew. Caught a bunch of tuna and ended up eating fresh tuna for a few days. Highly recommend. Very nice boat.

Each time this boat goes out, it is the only one with lots of large fish.
The captain is a very friendly one.
He makes the trip to be very joyfully.

Yesterday we had the family out fishing with Happy Day Today Charters. Captain Dave and Kyle were awesome, and I think may have been more excited than we were at the fish we were boating.
We ended up hauling in five mahi mahi, two black fin tuna and a wahoo. The mahi went into cioppino last evening, and we're planning on some tuna and wahoo for lunch today.

Captain Dave and his first mate were outstanding!! They put everyone on the comfortable boat on fish 🐟! They also showed us a few different ways to fish for the different species and topped it off with a 6 foot Bill shark 🦈!! We even had fresh caught tuna sashimi for us all to take home and enjoy for dinner. Excellent experience and would definitely recommend.

Excellent, We were a group of 5, most with limited fishing experience, Captain Dave and the first mate took great care of us and made sure we caught some fish and had a great time. We caught several fish including a black fin tuna and Mahi Mahi. We highly recommend and will definitely be doing it again when we are back down. Loads of fun and laughs.
