This is an ideal tour for those who want to see the two most visited places in Iceland in one day. The Golden circle named by the Golden waterfall or Gulfoss. On the same route we will visit Thingvellir national park which is located in the middle of the Euroasian and American tectonic plate. Enjoy a walk between both plates down to valley where the oldest democratic parliament is based.
We will stop at Geyser hot spring and enjoy one of Icelands most visited tourist attraction, geyser Strokkur which blows up every 6-8 minutes. Next stop will be place such as Kerið crater, Hveragerði town. From here we are heading to Reykjanes peninsula and finally catch the Blue lagoon (entrance fee not included). This tour is nearly always private. Even if we have two or more bookings for same day, tour still will be highly privately so customers have enough time to research wonder of Icelandic nature.

Andres was a wonderful guide, he shared his wealth of knowledge with us freely, was very approachable and flexible and it was a pleasure to drive with him. The highlights were spectacular and the car was also very comfortable. We would definitely recommend the tours with him.

It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Andres was a really nice man. He was vey knowledgeable about Iceland and knew a lot about the history of the Golden Circle. The tour was by very special.
The operator was Mercury Grail and Andres is the Manager . He took us to the Blue Lagoon. He was patient and allowed us to take our time. It was a very personalised tour just me my husband and our two children and Andres.
It was snowing during the G/C tour but he took his time to drive and we felt very safe.
I would recommend you try it.

One of the best tours I have ever been on! My wife and I traveled to Iceland to celebrate her birthday. We looked long and hard into a personalized tour that would allow us to see all Iceland has to offer. Andres went above and beyond to make sure we enjoy every minute of your trip. Absolutely fantastic and worth every penny.
Recently went on the private day tour and had a wonderful time.
Andreas was incredibly knowledgeable about the area as well as the local history and mythology of Iceland.
Organising it was a breeze with excellent communication from the business.
I really appreciated him going above and beyond, to make sure my mother who is an older woman was comfortable the whole time.
We saw some excellent sights, took a walk by the tectonic plates, and visited a fantastic ice cream shop.
Best of all we were allowed to move at our own pace and never felt rushed or intruded upon.
Will definitely book again the next time I'm in Iceland.
One side note I recommend booking directly via the website as you not only get a better deal but you can communicate directly and ensure you get exactly the tour you want.

This trip was awesome even though it was very cold and windy. The scenery was beautiful with the snow! Andres was so flexible and knowledgeable. He was able to change the itinerary because of the weather and it turned our trip into a wonderful day. Ending at the Blue Lagoon was perfect. If we get to come to Iceland again we will definitely go with Andres at Mercury Grail!

I want to thank Andres our tour guide for being so accommodating and caring towards our family. We came with our one year old son and he was very understanding and gracious. He knew all the best spots and was very easy to work with. We went to the blue lagoon the next day and he arranged something very special for us. We cannot thank him enough. If I come back to Iceland I will book with Andres and mercury grail again.

We arrived super early from a long flight from the US. Andres made a customized tour to make sure we saw everything we wanted on our list with a nice relaxing end to the day at the Blue Lagoon. Mercury Grail (and owner Andres) is an outstanding private tour company. We designed a tour for our interests. We had an outstanding day, small crowds, and great weather. Thus, we were ahead of schedule but rather than taking us back early Andres added a visit to a geothermal plant we had interest in and a visit to the Perlan Museum. Andres was continually explaining the history of the area and the sites we visited which provided us with a deep understanding of what we saw. We were so glad we chose Mercury Grail and not another. We highly recommend them.
