A fascinating tour from Naples that will give you the opportunity to visit an ancient roman town like Pompeii, explained by a professional guide (2 h. 30 min), investigate the amazingly preserved infrastructures and artifacts. You will then drive up to 1000m of Mount Vesuvius which nearly destroyed the town in 79 A.D. Take the last 200m meters by foot and enjoy the panoramic 360degree views from the smouldering crater.

Fabulous day out with Eugene and his extensive knowledge of the area. The left from Sorrento and was perfectly organized. Highly recommend it.

Took this tour from Sorrento. Meeting place is in town center. Easy walk to bus terminal. Pompeii tour was awesome. Our guide at the historical site did a great job of showing us how the city worked. Lunch was not bad for $17.00. Mt Vesuvius was about a 45 min ride to the drop off to begin the hike up. Make sure you wear shoes that have some grip and you don’t care that will get dirty. The hike is steep at times but gradual. We stopped when we needed to. View from the top is amazing. We had a clear day which helped. Total tour time from start to finish is 8.5 hours depending on traffic. Was a great day

Pompei was like visiting someone’s home when they are away on holiday except that they all fled in terror or died horribly. Guide was knowledgeable.
Vesuvius was quite a climb from the bus stop. Not really suitable unless moderately fit. Crater impressive. Would have been good to locate Pompei from summit - bring binoculars, map, compass.

We had a fantastic trip, Isabella our tour guide and Giuseppe our driver were excellent. Lots of information and local knowledge. Our guide in Pompeii was very knowledgeable and brought the whole tour to life. Vesuvius was a bit of a climb but the view of the crater and across the bay of Naples was worth the effort. Overall well organised well managed and good value for money.

Fascinating information. Views were terrific. Get the earliest tour available. The crowds were unrelenting by 1045.

Andrea was our all day guide while Viviana guided us through Pompeii. The walk through the archeological park was slow and well explained by Viviana. LOTS to see & learn in 2.5 hours.
Great lunch (not included) before the trek up to Mt Vesuvius’ crater.
Trek NOT easy. Straight shot up 1100 meters on very lose volcanic dirt. Just a warning for those with bad knees, or if you are thinking this is an easy walk. It’s not and we are pretty fit.
Drinks/food/souvenirs for purchase at 3 locations en route to the crater.
Bus was very comfortable and air conditioned. We were very happy and very tired afterwards! Recommend. Great great day

Very beautiful day, the visit to Pompeii accompanied by a guide is a real plus in a place that is ultimately extensive, very rich and extremely touristic, very beautiful views of Vesuvius, flawless and well-paced organization

Good tour of Pompeii. Good lunch. Awfully crowded. Drove all the way up Vesuvius only to find it closed due to the torrential rain. The meeting place to begin tour was a mass of people and even tho we were 1/2 hr early, tour leader was looking for us. It would be helpful for the leader to have a “Viator” sign on a pole to identify them. There was no way to tell who was who—no identifier evident.
